They're only investigating this to please Trump. I guess if Trump wants he can have you investigated in Ukraine. Witnesses will materialize to testify about your crimes there. Maybe Trump will extradite you.

Why do you guys hate America and the prosecutorial independence that sets us apart from places like China, Russia and the Philippines where political opponents are "investigated" and end up in prison.

Is it that you know nothing about the world? In many countries, if you're a political enemy the government "investigates" you and finds "evidence" then it convicts you.

It's just sad that so many American don't appreciate their country are willing to blindly follow a con man like Trump.

Biden's son is a private citizen. He doesn't work in the White House like Jared and Ivanka.

I guess if you dare to challenge Trump he'll have you family members investigated in foreign countries by governments that need his support. What could go wrong?

You actually do in the US, at least to launch an official investigation. Otherwise what was all the fuss about the Steele document and investigating Trump?

I'll be waiting to see that happen, probably around the same time Hillary goes to jail.

Actually I don't think any or many Democrats care much. Shokin was fired because he let those guys skate, specifically including Burisma and the owner, who our Ambassador at the time called out by name as one example of Shokin's corruption. Getting rid of Shokin was an attempt to get a non-corrupt prosecutor in office, and hopefully this guy will regain the confidence of the people and the international community.

The cases involving Burisma and its owner predate Biden, and there is no hint anywhere, including from that article you linked, that Hunter Biden is at risk as a result of the investigation.

Nope, I read it, have linked to it and discussed it. It looks like it was drafted by someone perhaps even dumber and a bigger hack than Jacob Wohl. According to Shokin's "sworn statement" Joe Biden effectively ran the U.S., including the DoJ, the world bank, Ukraine, the reformer groups in Ukraine, the UK, and most of western Europe because they all did Joe Biden's bidding to 1) protect his son Hunter, and 2) to unfairly prosecute DF who had no known connection to Joe Biden, pro or con.

FWIW, when you start off a comment with "Demokkkrat operatives" it just means no one will take anything that follows seriously. It's fine with me - an early warning sort of thing - don't bother reading!

Shokin? The same guy who when two prosecutors in his office were caught with diamonds and cash gave them back the diamonds and cash and prevented any investigation? That guy?

The case was known as the "diamond prosecutors." People were protesting outside his office. Other prosecutors resigned in disgust.

But you and Trump want us to believe he was a good and fair guy.

Truman, JFK, LBJ and other Democrats openly supported Civil Rights. The Republican nominee Goldwater did not. Ronald Reagan didn't support Civil Rights either. Black people understood what the "states rights" that Republicans supported meant. It meant that Mississippi and Louisiana would be free to keep oppressing them.

Black people were too smart to vote for Nixon or Reagan...

Yep, I do know the history including into this century. I find it interesting that the black lady who narrated that garbage thinks so poorly of blacks in this country that she must believe something like 80-90% of them are too stupid and/or ignorant to know what she knows, which is the party to which almost all black elected officials belong is the 'real' party of racism, and all those black people support this racist party despite the obvious racism.

The discussion about the Civil Rights Act is typical of right wing propaganda on the subject. In fact, the "racist" Democratic party controlled the House, Senate and White House when the CRA and VRA were passed, proving it's the Democrats who were opposed, because Democrats sponsored the bills, voted overwhelmingly for them, and racist LBJ worked like heck to get those landmark civil rights acts across the finish line, again, solidifying him as the real racist of course. And roughly 100% of whites in the South regardless of party opposed those bills, and nearly 100% of Democrats outside the South supported the CRA and VRA, as did the vast majority of non-Southern Republicans. So the opposition wasn't a party thing, but a white southerner thing. I cannot believe a former (I think) professor at Vanderbilt sold her reputation to narrate that garbage. She knows better and she knows she's lying. I'll never understand why people sell their integrity so cheaply.

And I do live in Tennessee and it's the GOP that fought for years to keep up the statue of the first Grand Dragon of the KKK, N.B. Forrest, permanently erected in a black community in Memphis and to keep N.B. Forrest's bust on permanent display in our capitol, and to keep celebrating the N.B. Forrest day in Tennessee, which we still do.

History shows that Parties have changed their platforms over time and who migrated into, supported those Parties in different times.

Are you actually apologizing for the Democrats? Then explain how the impeachment inquiry that's going against all other impeachment processes is proper. One thing the legal system likes is precedence and consistency. A full House vote gets all member politically liable, and part of the process from the start. They represent the states that the President "presides" over.

You need to go back and learn the history of the Civil Rights movement not the Civil War. It's Democrats who really pushed for Civil Rights. Republicans supported "states rights" to discriminate as they pleased.
