As he gears up for a difficult re-election cycle, Rep. Steve King’s campaign is strapped for cash. Individual donations to the Iowa Republican are down considerably from past cycles and support from corporate donors and King’s own colleagues have vanished entirely.

King has not received a single contribution this year from a political action committee associated with a sitting member of Congress. Corporate PACs and interest groups have also completely shunned him. Through the first six months of the year, King received just two contributions from third party political entities: $2,000 donations from PACs associated with two former members of Congress, Lamar Smith (R-TX) and the infamous Todd Akin (R-MO).

I find it amusing that our resident fascism supporters like to make strawmen of certain Democratic representatives, particularly women representatives, while completely ignoring the trash on their own side such as Steven King. He is an open fascist.

Nobody deserves financial ruin more than Steve King. He had a chance to really do something good for his state and he blew it by serving his racist instincts rather than serve his state. He got away with that for many years so why wouldn't he expect he could go on the same way forever? The times caught up with him. People aren't going to let racism slide by unnoticed any longer, particularly coming from highly paid elected government officials.

This is one stupid ****ing post. The linked article literally states how he has been abandoned by everyone and somehow you take away that he's being ignored? He's definitely being addressed in the best way possible. Meanwhile, your people are front and center and running the Dems.
 
1. Some people ask, "How could voters choose someone like Mr. King?"

2. And some people ask, "How could voters choose people like the Squad and Mr. Cummings?"


3. I guess the answer is: This is still a democracy (at least for a little longer), so voters have the right to choose people whom they like.
 
I hope King wins his primary election. If he files and runs I may even send him fifty cents.

Fish, Fish, do reread the post. Phys was speaking of posters here ignoring racism on their own side, not King's open racism being ignored by donors and Republican politicians.

No one should be surprised. King went out on a limb... it snapped... and odds are the Iowa 4th is going to have to go shopping for someone new.

Nobody said anyone was supporting King. Supporting him and ignoring his racism are two different things
