The Left's demonization of Conservatives Becomes Dangerous.

We have so much more in common than we are willing to admit. Being standoffish alley cats for starters, but think beyond that for a minute. What is it that most of us want? In no particular order.
A safe place to live, schools for the kids, food on the table, a car that runs, a job, health, access to healthcare, peace of mind.

Don't think for a minute that the left or the right is more innocent or more guilty of creating strife.

Why should I be ashamed of defending myself against violently insane leftist losers?

I have absolutely nothing in common with leftists. I fully support the founding principles of "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness," while the left utterly detest them. The Democratic Party has been, and continues to be, the greatest threat this nation has ever encountered.

Because leftists are such utter cowards, confining their violence and destruction of property to the Democrat-controlled sh*tholes, like San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, DC, New Orleans and other such hellholes, it means that we are not likely to ever meet.

Beginning? I've got news for you, Democrats have been extremely violent, destroying property and harming others, after they lose a national election. Dunno if Trump accelerated the process or not, but he certainly drew it out into the light for all to see and make their own judgement on it. Prior to that it was far more in the shadows.

I remember the time when both sides wanted basically the same things; they just had differing opinions on how to get there. I don't believe that still exists. The right and left have dramatically different images of what America will look like in the future.

Your initial post shows concern for the divisiveness in American politics. In looking back to a time when there was less antagonism you imply this was a better approach than what we have now. . But as the thread has progressed you have pretty throughly trashed Democrats policies and motives and some liberal posters. So I'm confused, are you or are you not hoping to discuss differences intelligently and lessen the divisiveness?

Have you not been paying attention to the waves of violence and destruction by leftists after they lose every election? It has been going on for more than 50 years, so I don't see how you could have missed it. Or do you just like to pretend that the riots, destruction of property, violence against others, and the countless crimes committed by leftists are somehow a "peaceful protest" like the anti-American leftist ("enemy of the people") media likes to pretend?
