The Left's demonization of Conservatives Becomes Dangerous.

No, idiocy is denying the unanimous consensus of every single scientific organization on the entire planet on climate change, and to listen to a Manhattan real estate huckster call it a Chinese hoax instead.

It is still trusting a guy who promised that he had a beautiful replacement plan for Obamacare, when we know he was lying. There is no plan. Not even a bare outline.

He lied maliciously and shamelessly about birtherism for six years straight.

He lied about Trump U being better than Harvard.

You still defend him. That’s idiotic.
LOL, all the usual mantras trotted out like a religious recitation. Well done.

LOL!!

Your rewrite is a fail because it totally alters the point that Ocean made. (which went over YOUR head)

You should apologize to Gimme. You are screwing things up for him.
Wow....I ....just......wow....

Man up and admit that you misinterpreted his post. Everyone but you knows what he meant. It isn't about you, as much as you want it to be.

When you quote someone, you make it about them. You don't seem to understand that...but then again, you are new to this debate forum thing. Not your fault, I guess.

Are you denying any of them as fact? Which ones?
not going to distract the conversation to rehash things we've been over dozens of times.

I've been arguing with myself all day on whether to post this or not. Obviously "post it" won.

I think this situation is growing more and more foreboding and dangerous. Beyond that I'm seeing far more tendencies on the right to push back rather than ignoring or retreating from the perpetrator. It's scary. I don't remember a time in decades where there was so much naked aggression between the sides.
I remember the time when both sides wanted basically the same things; they just had differing opinions on how to get there. I don't believe that still exists. The right and left have dramatically different images of what America will look like in the future.

I agree with most of what you say but I refuse to believe the majority of democrats in America actually believe the BS that democrat leaders are spewing. We will see come 2020 if the democrats of the middle class have slipped that far to the radical left.

Jeezubbs! This is the same "conversation" you have created for YEARS! And then....you DO NOT "converse", at all. You don't even counter those on the right in this thread who advocate violence against the left.
Pointless.

Just look around this forum. There ARE a few liberal/progs that are willing to discuss topics intelligently, but, there also many loonies as described in the article.

State of Liberalism Progress Report
1961: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" - JFK
2019: Where's my free stuff!

Your complaint is that the left has demonized an innocent and undeserving right and you think the left should go back to a time where there was more agreement. ....... So, you think have the above as a motto because you think that will cause the left to not demonize the right?

Before you complain further about the left perhaps you should read carefully right wing posts and ask your self if they sound intelligent, cooperative, willing to listen.
I have, and in general the RW posts are more focused on issues. Not always, we have limited patience, of course, and we don't suffer fools lightly.

Has Mexico paid for that wall yet?

If the rights strategy is to just be awful in every way possible: intellectually, contextually, have maybe the worst track record on honesty that we've ever seen and then go crying to teacher that there are bullies who hate them.. well it's just pathetic and juvenile. I think maybe the right isn't aware that they are wrong about most everything and they are too proud and stubborn to receive new information that doesn't fit a conservative narrative? I think so. And never forget that there are conservatives in this thread threatening to kill liberals when their time comes because conservatives always perceive criticism as hatred.

You're making this too easy. spewing all the clichéd LW mantras just reinforces the point.

lol...have they paid for the wall like Trump promised?

Making this too easy is the Right Wing falling for the clichéd Trumpian bull**** and that reinforces my point.

I remember being called a racist for not supporting Obama, and now I'm being called a racist for supporting Trump policy.
I know who the haters are and it's not us, conservatives... Good piece. Thanks for posting it, Bulls.

The left calls everyone who disagrees with them a "racist." All it means is that you don't agree with their particular point of view, nothing more. It is the left's infantile way of saying "shut-up."

What about racists?

As, usual your points are as sharp as basketballs.

This started to manifest itself when the powers behind the New Democratic Party pushed President Obama ahead of Hillary in 2007-8.
Oh it certainly escalated during the Obama years but I believe it was unleashed during the years of Reagan.

Conservatism in ideology is very close to the true definition of a classical liberal which I doubt very much many who claim to be a liberal or progressive or libertarian today including on this forum could even appropriately define. Conservatives are mostly individualistic which actually protects everyone's rights while upholding our rule of law and the Constitution that protects States rights and the Bill of Rights.

Those who practice true conservativism are kryptonite to leftists. That's a fact. So should it be any wonder why they are being attacked? Lefties are collectivists. When your ideology is based in collectivism you are immediately killing the rights of others and trampling states rights in the name of the elites in the federal government know best.

"Imagine: it only took one post to get the perfect example of what the author was talking about."

"Been going on since long before Trump. But you illustrate the mentality the article describes."

"I don't consider it dangerous at all. I'm well armed, which I know the leftists abhor. So let them do their worst. I would gladly help thin the crowd of the anti-American leftists who become violent - yet again."

"Liberal turned conservative David Mamet famously said: In order to continue advancing their illogical arguments modern liberals have to pretend not to know things…

"Doubling down on idiocy, eh?"

"Considering the National Socialist Movement (a.k.a. neo-NAZIs) is entirely comprised of leftist Democrats who continue to field anti-Semitic candidates, it should be rephrased as "America's Disgust with the Democratic Party.”

"The left calls everyone who disagrees with them a "racist." All it means is that you don't agree with their particular point of view, nothing more. It is the left's infantile way of saying "shut-up."

And this looks like conservatives are willing to discuss topics intelligently?

I can't believe you take this hack job of an op ed seriously.
:lamo

Conspiracy theories and conservative victimhood the hallmark of the modern right. You have President victim who lives in a world of his own creation and you cherish him.

Democrats live in a space all their own. Everywhere they look they see conspiracy theories and racism instead of truth. They do a great deal of damage promoting ideas they think are right but which are very wrong and very bad.

Open a history book. It's always been this way. It feels more acute to you because you are actually living it.

An example of why there are so few discussions with conservatives. Conservatives don't discuss. They make statements, usually unpleasant ones about Democrats. You can't argue with a "this is what I believe" statement it just turns into, "Yes you are, no I'm not". That is not a discussion. If someone challenges their beliefs they call names or simply leave.
