There is a sizable minority of republicans with white nationalist sentiments, who feel warmly blessed by his racism.

I have long since ceased to be interested in the distinction. Those than enable his racism, should be treated exactly like those who share it. I think history will not dwell much on what kind of republican each is either. They will almost all wear the same stain.

Exactly how does that prove racism? I realize that throwing the race card is SOP among many on the left.

I do know that simply declaring that he is one does not make it true.

This is the problem I have with so many people who use the tactics of moral panic.

First they declare that they hold the moral high ground. Then they use this moral high ground to "judge" those they disagree with. They then declare those they judge to be enemies of their ideologies guilty of some form of immorality. Finally they liberally apply one or more demonizing labels by fiat.

The next step is to continue to use such labels against both their main target, and anyone who dares to side with that target.

From that point on it is one ad hominin after another, and their "truth" is reinforced by those who seek inclusion (and thereby safety from being targeted) in their echo chambers of denigration.

So while I don't know if Trump is a racist or not, I need to repeat that constant declarations that he is one still doesn't make it true. :
It's something the Trump haters do every chance they get. It's called "playing the race card".

Based on your comment I now know why the term ďracistĒ is overused.
I have to say 90% of the country are racist, both democrats and republicans.

Just the other day I told me wife I hated rap music. I guess Iím racist.
Iím not in favor of open borders. I guess Iím racist. If a white Canadian sneaks across the border I guess I would be racist against white Canadians.

OK, maybe the better question is "Are you OK with a President who acts like a white nationalist and openly appeals to white nationalists?"

It's the same question, really, but then we don't have to do the dance - "what does he BELIEVE?" when no one can know the answer. And it doesn't matter what he believes - he's President and he's sending that message.

OK, so we can judge what he does, and what he did recently was ape what we've all seen on YouTube - dumb, mean people confronting someone who isn't white speaking a foreign language and telling them, "GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM!"

That's what he did. It's not an ad hominem to point that out - it happened.

Iím sure there have been many a Democrat and probably Republicans that told Trump to go back where he came from.
    Back to NYC?

He's got a lot of white enemies. Which ones has he told to go back where they came from? None is the answer. And telling minorities, non-whites, to go back to Mexico/Africa/Middle East/India is an old, obvious, racist/bigoted trope. It's sending a very old and honored American tradition of white nationalism.

Are you making a distinction between white nationalism, which what Trump did clearly reflected, was intended to appeal to white nationalists, versus racism?

There is obviously a difference in the dictionary meaning, but not much in real life I don't think - the Venn diagram of racists, white supremacists, racial or ethnic bigots and white nationalists wouldn't be overlapping but close enough such that the distinction won't be very informative.

In their echo chambers, it is accepted. Remember this quote from a hollywood bimbo in november of 1972

How did Nixon Win? EVERYONE I KNOW voted for McGovern. American liberalism is nothing of the sort. It has become reactionary and close-minded.

I reject everything you say as BS TDS propaganda. "white nationalism" is the current dog whistle to the collectivist left.
