Are the dems eating their young, or are the young eating them?

The recent internecine war in the Dem party is turning ugly. Pelosi and the old guard are holding fast that's pissing off the AOC guerillas. Her forces are already threatening to "primary" any current Dem House member who they deem insufficiently woke. Pelosi reportedly hasn't talked one on one to the AOC clique in weeks.
So, are the old-line dems going to fight back? Would they "primary" AOC and her merry band in return? What about campaign funding and assistance?

Gonna be interesting.

Yes. Diversity is messy but the alternative is far worse. It is tyranny. We won't blindly follow any King, remember 1776? The Redcoats are going to lose again. Count on it.

You know, a lot of people say the left's greatest weakness is that we can't hardly agree on a damn thing to save our lives, but I'd much rather be in a band of bickering liberals than walking in lockstep with the conservatives, any day of the week. And hey, we still get stuff done every four or eight years, so it's not an unbeatable flaw!

It's not just that we get "things" done, all the things that made America a country to be envied come from Democrats starting with FDR's New Bill of Rights

.

I have no idea what delusion you're blathering about.

I feel that way about college professors and administrations who find themselves suddenly and unexpectedly the next target of the #Woke #Justice movement.

Correct.

I'm not sure you understand the concept of grassroots movements, Harshaw. The fact that all but AOC in that list are, in fact, part of Gen X doesn't make them any less the harbinger of young voters' preferred candidates.

I understand that you've basically done a 180 now.

I think that Democratic Congresspeople need to grow the **** up and work out their differences in private rather than on Twitter.

The revolution devours its parents.

Not surprising at all. Many do not understand and fear the concept of freedom and individuality.
LOL, ironically, that's the perfect definition of a liberal.

The research on psychology suggests otherwise: political ideology is fairly malleable early in life, but usually set in stone on a generational level, in large part thanks to one's experience with who was President right around your turn to adulthood - we've had eight straight years of a fairly well-liked Democrat, and we're three years into a President with record-lows of support among the young. The Republicans are going to be feeling the aftermath of this for a long, long time. Can't quote from that PDF for some reason, but check page 3, paragraph 2 about the habits of white voters being tied very strongly to their years of birth.

That might actually be more related to the times, seeing as the left has been "for lack of a better word" fracturing, over the last decade. While the right has solidified into a more stable spread for the group.

If I can find the graph, I'll link it here. It's been a few months though.
