Obviously, she has never heard of the Great Recession, sub-prime securities, Fannie and Freddie, CRA or ACORN.

I don't think her voters have, either.

Or the programs Carter and Clinton issued forth, extended by Bush and ultimately lead to the subprime lending crisis, bail outs, housing bubble bursting and recession.

You know, minor details one could clean from history.
 
Once we get to this point you have to ask yourself who would receive reparations. Are all Blacks just going to be given money or is there some sort of verification process they will have to go though. This brings us to the core of the argument; are black people suffering from the effects of slavery today; and if so, how are we supposed to identify those who do without being "racist" for denying non-slave related poor blacks funds. I think this idea would not only increase/sustain the amount discrimination within the country while possibly dividing the black community in the process.

P.S. if you think I'm going to pay for other peoples housing you're wrong. If there is one thing that hasn't skipped over me because of the color of my skin, its been financial misfortune...

Her updated (modern?) version of "forty acres and a mule" is likely to be an effective DNC primary position. Perhaps she can add "and Mexico will pay for it".

What I heard of was the marketing by the left of what was called the Great recession then what I saw was the worst recovery in American History. The left doesn't understand results and only buys rhetoric

I really have to wonder if by some extremely unfortunate outcome Kamala Harris becomes President, what will happen in our country. Essentially, whites will be public enemy #1 and for that, they will have to support blacks and illegals to the tune of billions. How can a civil war be avoided?
 
She would never get it, as trump never got his and never will. She scares the chite out if the right, that is a good thing.

The program would be exclusive to areas that were once "red-lined" by lenders, so I doubt this would get carried away like the housing collapse did. But a lot of the same moral hazards should be considered relevant.

ACORN "only used the CRA" against lenders who they claimed were red-lining. It got out of hand and we ended up with a recession. I see nothing that would prevent this current scheme getting out of hand, either.

Well whether it would result in a slippery slope or not, I don't even think it would do any genuine favors to the direct beneficiaries. Down payment requirements serve a useful purpose. People who can't for the life of themselves come up with the basic financial requirements to buy a house aren't necessarily benefited in any real way by having a mortgage mounted onto their shoulders anyway.
 
I dont get too concerned when a politician makes an impossible promise. If people are dumb enough to believe her thats on them.

There are so many problems with what she is suggesting that it will never pass.

SO you expect the President of the United States to give you a job and a pay raise? wonder if your lack of pay increases has anything to do with you spending 24/7 in this forum whining and complaining about the President? 5 million new taxpayers would disagree with you regarding Trump and the economy. The market for jobs is tough and will go to those who don't complain and work harder than apparently you are willing to work
