...will his supporters accept it? We already know the Trump playbook. He will have lost because of millions of illegal voters and rampant voter fraud. He will likely not concede. He will likely have painted his opponent to his supporters as a devil incarnate who will destroy America. Would a peaceful transition of power even be possible? Would some of his supporters dub themselves "freedom fighters" and turn to domestic terrorism? I doubt we will enter civil war territory, but I see the potential in 2020 to being a year of blood shed and tragedy for both sides.

There will be a loud bipartisan sigh of relief.

Trump's defenders have exhausted themselves. They won't be happy exactly. But they'll be resigned to being able to go back to criticizing the left for what they worked overtime to say didn't matter when Trump was doing it. They'll be back in their natural state and they will find peace with that.

The muttering will continue and will be spirited but there will be a sweet sense of coming home again to replace the edge they had to have always being on the offensive for Trump.

Trump will accept it. Trump supporters will accept it.

Sadly, I must agree. If Trump loses at the polls and in the Electoral College, I completely expect him to raise a huge stink contesting different state results and even go as far as to refuse to accept them. Then we will finally see if the Republicans who orally massage his obese posterior on a daily basis will finally grow a spine and say enough is enough.

I would not bet that they will.

If Trump raises a stink - his supporters will NEVER support his exit and will go to their graves convinced the Deep State did their little god in. They are that deranged and that divorced from reality.

Of course we'll accept it with at least as much class, and good sportsmanship as the Dems accepted Clinton's loss. Most of your suppositions are pure bull****, btw.

If Trump loses in 2020, he will concede and his supporters will hate it, but move on. The notion that Trump supporters will turn to terrorism in their anger and grief is purely a fantasy driven by the daily drumbeat of fear that is instilled in you daily by the media. It's not reality.

The media...yeahhhhhh...

“It’s hard to impeach somebody who hasn’t done anything wrong and who’s created the greatest economy in the history of our country,” Trump told Reuters in an Oval Office interview.

“I’m not concerned, no. I think that the people would revolt if that happened,” he said.

That is what he said about impeachment...not removal from office...not losing the next election...just being impeached by the House.

?

Your thread is about Trump losing in 2020, not if Trump gets impeached.

Exactly. That is what he said about impeachment...not removal from office...not losing the next election...just being impeached by the House.

Okay. But your thread is about him losing in 2020. You said you see the potential of a year-long domestic terrorism problem with Trump supporters if he loses. Are you changing your own topic now?

No, just addressing your point that my concern comes from the media. His own words are more than enough to fuel my concern.

Except his own words have nothing to do with losing in 2020.......

Looking at how he reacted to the 2016 Election before the votes were even in, I fully expect Trump to be kicking and screaming like the petulant child he is if he were to lose in 2020.

As before, he won't wait for election results, he'll start crying to his base about a Deep State "fix" well before the election, getting his base all worked up and ready to riot. This is a CULT.

Some Trump supporters have already turned to terrorism while he is in office. You don't think more of them will pop up if he loses and puts out the narrative that the election was rigged (like he tried to do with the 2016 Election before he won?)

I think there will always be a fringe few who could do something stupid on both sides. Do I think it will be a year-long problem with domestic terrorism because Trump supporters are mad that he lost? Uh, no.

I think there will be a big sigh of relief on all sides! One thing about this tRump presidency; it's given us ALL something to look forward to.

I think there will always be a fringe few who could do something stupid on both sides.

The difference is, the violent fringe on the Left are not typically pro-Obama or pro-Clinton. The violent fringe on the right have not typically been really pro-Reagan or pro-Bush, but they have been pro-Trump.

Do I think it will be a year-long problem with domestic terrorism because Trump supporters are mad that he lost? Uh, no.

You stated: The notion that Trump supporters will turn to terrorism in their anger and grief is purely a fantasy driven by the daily drumbeat of fear that is instilled in you daily by the media.

You did not give a time table. You clearly stated there won't be terrorism from Trump supporters. I hope you are right, but considering what has happened in the past couple of years, I don't see why there won't be domestic terrorism or at least subverted attempts like we saw with that Coast Guard guy.

I intend on voting the president out of office, personally. I have never once waited with abaited breath for his impeachment and removal, because I know that he's just a dumb-ass figure-head to my true enemy, and that's his supporters. I want to see a significant surge in voter turn-out.

How did this work out for you in 2016? Same **** different election. Here's how well your side coped when Trump won.

Same hysteria and projection.
