Well, Liz really couldn’t use my response... which is. That’s OK Cory, if you think the earth can’t sustain people eating meat, which is total BS... people like me will continue enjoying eating meat, while you can continue to suck on it.

I love the part where you ignore the fact that the vast, vast majority of eggs (especially those commercially produced) are unfertilized so your comparison is completely unfounded, but hey, let’s not miss an opportunity to get an abortion jab in.

I suspect meat for food will be around for a very long time.
However I also suspect that some time in the next twenty years, most of it will not involve the animal husbandry practiced for most of recorded history.

It's a pretty safe bet that it won't because science and technology will respond to market forces that seek to provide meat and meat based products without having to pay the costs of raising and maintaining food animals as we know them today.

We're not raising cows for their intellectual abilities, so why raise them at all if we can cultivate beef tissue without the cow?
From there, we only need concern ourselves with nutritional value, appearance, taste and, of course, safety and last but certainly not least...COST.

It's nice to imagine environmentalists pushing us away from ranching but I suspect it will be cost.
If the beef industry gets wind of the idea that beef that is virtually identical in every way can come from something other than a walking, eating, burping, farting and crapping cow, for a lower cost, say goodbye to cattle ranching.

Ditto for every other meat product in existence.

These socialists show their true colors more and more every day. You know that if they were to take over the House, Senate, and presidency, they would be free to go after meat eaters. This would also include dairy products like milk and cheese. After all, we can't have a bunch of cows around farting all over the place.

In fairness though, it is pretty much every member of Congress who foul the air, needlessly wasting oxygen. That's where the Green New Deal needs to start, saving the oxygen in DC.
