Fox News legal analyst stunned at how Mueller made it impossible for Trump to save Manafort

It never ceases to amaze me at how so many people hope for the worst and relish the downfall of others.

I completely agree that anyone that has broken the law must pay the price - without exception. However, I do not celebrate when a person of high rank opposite me politically is caught and prosecuted, rather, I am satisfied that the law worked and that they were caught and prosecuted, but I also feel badly for the other side, and our country as a whole, that we had such a person in our midst. I will feel the same way when Mueller's report is published.

Manifort is a bit different to me, because I feel that what he did was about as close to espionage and treason as a person could get, and I have absolutely no concern for him suffering for his actions, whatsoever. Yet, I don't and won't transfer that disdain to anyone else on the right, just because Manifort worked for the Trump campaign.

It's sad that there are so many that take perverse pleasure in our country being harmed, just to take down their political foes. Similar to how some eagerly and happily trumpet climate change and how the Earth "may die" as some sick Machiavellian weapon against anyone that doesn't completely submit to their ideology - not the scientific facts surrounding climate change, but their ideology as a whole, including complete government control and unhinged business eradication.

The psychological terms for such people: Sadistic, and; Schadenfreude, and even for some; Katagelasticism.

I would hope that everyone that thinks that what is happening to this country with Mueller and Trump, is good or is praiseworthy, would think again, and do a little inward reflection.

There's a difference in wanting justice served and law breakers punished versus taking perverse pleasure in it occurring.

Before anyone says otherwise, these type people can be either left or right leaning, or even just anti-everyone.

Why after this very extensive amount of time has our servant, supposed to be the best of the best, given us no guidance on the question he was hired to answer....is our President dirty?

This is injustice, this is abuse of the nation for clearly political aims.

Remind me again how many times Hillary was investigated????

I have seen no evidence that Trump would want to help Manafort, Manafort worked for free yes but that was about the value of his work too.

He drew no salary from the Trump campaign. That in no way means he worked for free. I believe Mueller might be exploring some of his possible employers ;)

The same abusive Mueller who has yet to submit a report on the mission.

Rat on who about what?

Work he has done for unsavory characters

You are new so let me explain this to you right now> I have little time for those who cant keep up.

Wait until he reads (or has it read to him) the NY Times report tonight and Mueller discovering that Manafort was a mole and feeding info back to Trumps legal team which could very well be a whole new charge of obstruction of justice. Trump and his team just get deeper and deeper and deeper and can't stop digging.

But...but...Rosensteins letter...but...but...Trump can fire anyone he likes in the executive branch...but...but...no collusion...but...but...Hillarys emails !!

iLOL
No it couldn't be.
But you seem to think it could be, lay it out.
Quote the law and how the law was broken.

Your comment is nonsensical.

Oh my, now Mueller is abusive! Is that a new talking point?

Manafort was either compensated, or believed he would be compensated by someone. He does not have a history of charitable acts. I'm sure when the report is released there will be more on that subject.

I explained yesterday somewhere what Manafort was up to and while it is now nearly impossible to get anything done in America for either a reasonable cost or in a reasonable time when it comes to justice taking years to get done what needs to be done in months is abuse. In this case the entire nation is being abused.

Really? How exactly is Mueller abusing you? He seems to be following the law quite closely and doing his job quite thoroughly. You should praise him for Being Best!

Maybe it would have helped if out other servant, supposedly with a good brain, didnt wait forever to answer written questions and agree to a sit down interview. Along with that, mueller has been dealing with dozens of people methodically working his way up. To act as though his investigation is going at some incredibly slow pace is absurd to the highest.

This post is what happens when bad quality work gets normalized, as it has in America.

Work he has done for unsavory characters

You are new so let me explain this to you right now> I have little time for those who cant keep up.

When you have been here as long as I have, you can call someone else a newby. You're still a rookie here yourself. <wink>

I have produced almost double the content you have, plus I have been here three years which makes be a recognized DP Vet...So No.

The quality of your work seems to be in decline.

The quality of your work seems to be in decline.

Not surprised your logic would lead you to believe that.

Let me 'splain it to you Lucy.

You do not have a fraction of the "content" I have contributed here. And you never will.

Granted, you have more "posts" and that, in and of itself, speaks volumes on it's own.

There is "quality" and there is "quantity."

You see, your content is mostly just short one-liner's that are devoid, for the most part, of any significant contribution or source. Hardly what I would call "content." Most just opinions that are short on critical thought. A blurt. A brainfart that slipped through your lips. Rarely a link or any time spent to validate your most unusual opinions. VERY lazy interaction. The emptiest barrel sounds the loudest.

Whereas, myself, well my posts are, and have always been, well thought out and somewhat articulate. The reader, whether they agree with me or not, know that I spent some time pondering the point of discussion as any respectful forum member SHOULD do. I am known to take the time to research and offer sources to validate my points of debate. Whereas, you just throw out some short bus, non-congruent statement of opinion or whatever. Critical though is my claim to fame here. I'm not sure you even know the definition of critical thought but I digress.

Also, if you divide the number of your posts by the number of years you have been here, and do the same with mine, a clear picture will develop for the one who spends most of their time glued to this forum and the one who spends most of their time actually observing what's going on around them. Do the math.

In short, whereas I am more of the skilled "novelist" here at Debate Politics, you are more like a drive-by grafitti vandal with a can of spray paint at a bus stop. Insignificant. A pest.

In closing, I have no doubt whatsoever that you will not comprehend what I just told you and will retort with, yet again, some ill-thought out one liner calling me a poopy-head or something like that. (You do have an inflated opinion of yourself son.)

But the other people reading this know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

something like, say, a lovely bowl of strontium-90, served up to him by a concerned former overseas client.

Polonium-210. Dissolves in tea. Russian not use Strontium 90, scare dairy farmer who think is nuclear meltdown, like Chernobyl.
