For one he got upset at black accountants, saying he wanted short fat guys in yalmulkes. Managed to insult two sets of people at once.

It's fun to watch you running from the claim that she ever advocated assaulting anyone by refusing to cite even one instance of her doing so.

Intellectual cowardice is so unbecoming.
 
I'm not sure where in her comments did she encourage people to be violent. While I'm not in favor of her ideas around protesting administration officials in public places, she hasn't called for any physical violence. Trump has made references to it several times and condoned it by offering to pay for legal services if any of his supporters did use force against protestors.

Some people are simply immune to reason and the factual record. She never exhorted anyone to assault anyone else, but since it's akin to religious dogma to the Trump sycophants, they cannot do anything else than bray that she did.

There are other examples. Just search for Trump and anti-Semitism. Hard to tell what’s in his heart, as his comments may simply be careless language. From what have seen they don’t express the apparent level of bigotry as his public and reported comments about blacks or Latinos seem to. Even in those cases, he probably just uses that stuff to stir up fear.

Ever figure out the assault doesn't require physical violent, just creating a reasonable fear of violence or injury in the mind of the victim? Actual violence would be battery; and before you ask not the Energizer kind. :lamo

So why do you take such exception to Waters who made no calls for actual violence, yet say nothing about Trump who has cited it specifically?

Ah, yes, the old "but Trump did it too" defense. :roll:. Because Trump's calls were "one of" election rally blather as I recall some old guy punched some obnoxious demonstrator and that was it. Waters has repeated called for confrontation, intimidation and harassment of opponents. And her followers are taking her seriously - there have been several tense confrontations. Not to mention GOP offices being shot up or firebombed. You guys got in a big snit about the Trump loony mailing bombs and the alleged Trump support (although the are totally opposite on Jews and Israel) shooting up the Synagogue. Do you seriously claim Water constant harangues couldn't end to the same types of violence?

It's not a defense, it's a question. It doesn't make sense taking moral high ground if you condone the same thing with the only difference being it's the person you support. As I stated before, I don't support Waters' remarks either; they're equally irresponsible but in different degrees. In this very charged political climate, someone can construe "getting in someone's face" in a more radical way than she may have intended. Leaders need to be careful because they have to account for the folks on the fringe who may take these remarks as justification for aggressive action.

Except, as I tried to point out it's NOT "the same thing". Trump hasn't advocated harassing Dems everywhere they're encountered, even in their homes. Not have groups of angry Republicans confronted dems in mass as libs have.
