Republicans are rigging elections to win. They're anti-voter and anti-democracy

I was somewhat surprised to see this blatant attack on Republicans in USA Today. It is in the OPINION section, which is why I posted it under "Partisan Politics".

Republican politicians across the country are scared for their jobs, but instead of coming up with policy proposals to win over more voters, they’re trying to rig our elections.

Whether it’s kicking eligible Americans off the voter lists for simply not voting, refusing to process voter registration cards, moving or shutting down polling places, trying to confuse voters about requirements or any number of other shady tactics, Republicans across the nation are trying to stop eligible voters from voting.

They are, in short, attacking our democracy for their political gain.

So, what are you trying to say?

Well, it's true. The GOP has long been the party of voter suppression and other dirty tricks to win elections. They've stolen more races than they've actually won legitimately.

What a crock of sh!t. Shows your utter and complete partisanship. Of course I don't expect any more from you than that.

So, what are you trying to say?

I summarized my take earlier. There is a certain Rush Limbaughish anger to the tone of the article. I think this leads to one of two conclusions. Either the gentleman knows something, and is very upset, or his relatively new organization is funded by Political Democrats. The source is cited.

Abe Rakov serves as Chairman of the Board of Advisors for Let America Vote, a national voting-rights organization. He served as the Deputy Secretary of State of Missouri from 2014-2015.

It would NOT be surprising to me, if the Democrats started funding these type of organizations. Republicans have put such vast sums of money into "smear" organizations like the Heartland Institute, Donor's Trust, Judicial Watch, Breitbart, and many, many others. Do you really expect Democrats to continue to sit back in the armchair?

Which ones were "stolen"?

I seem to remember elections, the electoral college voting and concession speeches by the losers in every election I can remember....

Please explain the NPC mindset?

Oh, ok. Dude, I've forgotten more about politics and the underhanded tactics Republicans will use than you've ever known, so howsabout you just shut your ****ing trap.

The Republican Party is a criminal enterprise. Don't like that? I don't give a ****.

Well Kobie, why don't you explain how it is all done instead of telling people to shut their ****ing traps.

Gerrymandering and purging legitimate voters from the rolls. This ain’t rocket surgery, folks. We are literally watching the latter happen in real time.

States purge voters......yep......................... Even Massachusetts!

Ask Maryland democrats how their gerrymandering went.

Yeah just like Crooked Hillary paying for a phony Dossier working with the Russian that was used by the FBI to spy on Trump. And in spite of your crooked attempts Trump still wins.

I thought the Russians posted stuff on facebook which miraculously resulted in enough people changing their vote from Hillary to Trump to sway the election?

:2wave:

Thanks for pointing out this comes from an OPINION. Sound vaguely like Santa Claus didn't bring the "blue wave" he has so wished and hoped for and now it's time to throw a tantrum.

Neither team is innocent in this, it occurs at all levels of government, and has for quite some time. The CA state government has been a lock for Dems for decades, and that doesn't stop them from manipulating the law to improve their electoral chances, even going into this last election.

It's boils down to a "fox guarding the hen house" situation.

methinks you forgot about Hillary rigging the primaries against Bernie and what's currently going on in Florida where the Democrat Snipes, who had been previously convicted of election law violations, remained in charge and keeps finding boxfulls of ballots after the fact.
