Do We All Understand That Democrats Invited The Caravan?

. Except for James972 though; I think he'll still be busy figuring out how to debate.

you mean Except for ElCHup though; I think he'll still be busy figuring out how to debate

( this is a liberals idea of debate)

Conservatism is a philosophy. Either you have the IQ to understand Republican freedom or you don't. If you don't you become a welfare is good Democrat. If you have a variety of opinions or are independent it merely means you are independent of the means with which to understand Republican freedom and capitalism.

The problem is you're a binary thinker; which makes sense given your responses. Fortunately many people are not, and are much more adaptable. Confucius had it right: “The green reed which bends in the wind is stronger than the mighty oak which breaks in a storm.”

no, I'm still waiting for you to perform more complex equations than 1+1=2. So far you're a one trick pony.

The problem is you're a binary thinker;

about freedom and socialism, of course. Would you look at a judge and say he was a binary thinker because he sentenced a murderer to death?Binary thinking is best when it is most logical way to think. 1+1=2

Good lord you come up with some absurd examples. Binary thinking is fine in some situations but not all; particularly as it relates to concepts of freedom and socialism.

Do We All Understand That Democrats Invited The Caravan?

Obviously, if Trump had been allowed to build his wall they would not waste their time and money marching to a certain dead end, America's wall! It is Hilary's and the Democrat's dream of open borders that constitutes an open invitation to all the world's poor to come here and to vote here as Democrats .

*And why are there so many poor: because of Democrats of course! It should be simple to say, look folks it's not that complicated to be like us, you need Republican capitalism, Republican religion, Republican family values, and Republican law and order values. But , Democrats blunt that message with their socialist nonsense; so much of the world remains tragically poor.*

Little do the world's poor know that if they do get here they will* be breathing only the fumes of our genius Founders whose amazing legacy is being daily diluted away as our country drifts always further into suicidal* Democratic territory.*

People need to take a deep breath, this caravan isn't the first and won't be the last. The first immigrant caravans from Central America came in 1981 during the Republican administration of Ronald Reagan. The civil wars in Central America during the 1980s prompted asylum-seekers that numbered in the hundreds of thousands. Data on asylum cases filed with the then-Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) show that about 126,000 Nicaraguans, 126,300 Salvadorans and 41,942 Guatemalans applied for asylum in the United States from fiscal year 1981 through 1990.

The United States has handled much larger influxes of asylum-seekers. And we did so without sacrificing our laws and our values. In 1980, for example, a mass migration of asylum-seekers, known as the Mariel boatlift, brought approximately 125,000 Cubans and 25,000 Haitians to South Florida over a six-month period. (Is anyone here besides me old enough to remember that?) The estimates of migrants in the caravan are comparable to the number of Cubans (7,163) the U.S. Coast Guard and Border Patrol picked up in fiscal year 1997.

The hysteria over this caravan is completely blown all out of proportion and is simply a propaganda tool used by Trump, again....to create fear in his base. For those who are fearful that bad actors are hiding amid the asylum-seekers in the caravan, rest assured that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) puts all such migrants through rigorous border security screening systems. CBP collects biometric data, performs background checks, and runs them through a host of criminal and national security databases.

Lest we forget, border apprehensions of all irregular migrants (including asylum-seekers) are now at historic lows. From a peak of 1.6 million in fiscal year 2000, the U.S. Border Patrol apprehended just under 304,000 last fiscal year.

I don't think capitalism, religion, family values, and law and order are purely Republican traits.
As a conservative Democrat i had them too and still do, though the Democratic party slung me off the buss when they made that sharp left turn.

When was this?

As a life long republican who is fiscally conservative and socially liberal, it was my perspective that the gOP cast me to the side when their made their turn, not to conservative but to crazy.

This began in 2000 with bush's appeal to the intolerant religious right.

I voted for Bill Clinton the first time.
They made a sharp turn left (for me) when they called me a terrorist because I owned an M1 Garand.
You know, the rifle we defeated the Nazis and Japanese with.
I was a terrorist because it was a semi-automatic and had a bayonet lug.

That pretty much told me they were on the kookoo train to Crazyville.

I also was with you when Bush cozied up with the religious right.
let's not forget all the lies about Iraq and all the proven propaganda stories about atrocities in Iraq.

So, are we both political party orphans?

I never voted for Clinton. Either time. Like I said I am a life long republican. Could not stand him.
That said, I did not vote for Bush JR either time. Because of the teabaggers he unearthed. I was all set to vote McCain and BAM! Palin. Cost him the election IMHO.

I don't see an isolated incident as a kookoo train...

BAM! is right. I could tell he only picked Palin because she was the first female he could find.
Identity politics and a dumb move.

I used that incident as a gauge that let me know what they thought of me as a citizen.
To them I was a terrorist because of the characteristics of a rifle i owned.
None of my honorable military service mattered to them.
I was now a terrorist and a threat to the country because my rifle was semi-automatic and had a bayonet lug.
That was all it took. Nothing else mattered to them but that to label me a terrorist.

Yes, it was a single issue, but that single issue told me a whole lot.

you are missing the point, the main idea of wall is to get the country to agree on a simple principle- no illegal immigration. If we had the wall we could have e-verify, no catch and release, no visa over stays etc etc.

We could have all of that without spending billions on a wall.

The real purpose of the wall proposal, which has been around since Trump was still a reality TV guy, is to fool the populace into thinking that Congress is serious about illegal immigration, when they actually are not. Neither party is willing to end illegal immigration as their big donors like the cheap labor.

As long as they talk about building a wall, they can pretend to be doing something about illegal immigration. Republicans get a bonus of being able to claim that Democrats, who aren't in power and who are opposed to the wall, are for open borders. RW blogs, like the Washington Times help them out by publishing phony stories about how prominent Democrats are in favor of open borders.

Yes, and got much worse with the election of Donald Trump.

.

but we don't do we??????????? If we get the wall then may be we have it all. Now do you understand?

you miss the point Trump is trying to create a consensus to stop illegal immigration. If he succeeds the Wall can be built and e-verify can be put in place, etc.

if Trump gets the support he needs he can do more than talk! IF Sanders and other liberals supported the idea it could be build tomorrow. 1+1=2

phony stories about how prominent Democrats are in favor of open borders.

you are so easily confused. Trump is for closed borders (think about the Wall closing borders) and Dims are for open borders (think about opposition to wall) 1+1=2

sounds like you are hopelessly confused- a Republican who does not vote Republicans. Why not start with your ABC's and tell us it means to you be a life long Republican?

You should love the religious right. 100,000 commit suicide and overdose (and millions are on the verge) nowadays because liberals destroyed their families and eliminated the religious motives that once gave American lives meaning! Do you understand?

E-verify is already in place; it's a matter of better enforcement. You don't need a wall to enforce existing laws. If it becomes really hard for businesses to hire workers the need to come here shrinks. The evidence of what was witnessed during the recession of 2008 where immigration dropped significantly, and it has happened in other economic downturns as well. Much cheaper than a wall because you cut off the incentive to cross the border. X+1=2. Find the value of X.

:lamo

Liberals did that? Wow. They're pretty powerful then. OR maybe it's been a slew of socio-economic reasons that have forced two income families. I have no religious motive and my life has plenty of meaning.

yes liberals are powerful and they are using that power to destroy our country, in this case our families despite the religious rights best efforts.

why so afraid to tell us the reason. What did you learn from your fear?

Religion had the power to stop this apparent destruction of the family; why didn't it?

I have no religious motive and my life has plenty of meaning.

It has plenty when you have no reason to do anything, no reason to love or to care, and you are just worm food in the end? Now you can see why so many are suffering from depression, are suicidal and overdosing under the weight of Godless liberalism. Hope your children manage and don't happen to fall prey to the left's Godless vision. No big deal if you want to ignore the Religious Right and take a chance with your own children's lives! After all they are just worm food too-right?!
