This is a letter that I sent to my Senators as well as the 6 Senators that would most likely be on the fence about Judge Kavanaugh.

Senator _________,

I hope that you will support a fair process on Judge Kavanaugh confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court. These last minute accusations seem to be pure political theater. The timing, the lack of any real specificity and the lack of any corroborating contemporaneous witnesses while not conclusive seems highly opportunistic. The last claim by Michael Avenatti is the most over the top. If this man ran A 'Gang Rape' Ring and 6 FBI background checks turned up nothing - not a hint of it - then everyone that ever worked in the background check department of the FBI needs to be fired. What is more likely - the FBI missed A 'Gang Rape' Ring as well a history of these charges being leveled at the last minute, or that this is just pure political theater to block this nomination? I can't imagine anyone that is being honest would find that a hard question.

Senator, I am so very afraid for the future of this country. If people are willing to totally destroy a man and his family to win political points - we are really in trouble. I know you must be under enormous pressure to support the #metoo movement. I can only imagine how horrible it would be to be assaulted and the difficulty in getting justice. I have a 20 year old daughter and the thought of something like that happening to her and her not being able to get justice is horrifying. That issue needs to be fixed - there is no argument on any side of the political isle about that. However, this current abuse of the system, in my opinion, harms the #metoo movement. We cannot throw out the presumption of innocence. We cannot throw out due process. I thank you very much for your service in the Senate and your consideration on this issue.

BTW - while I am a conservative and for the most part vote republican - I did not vote for President Trump at the top of the ticket in 2016. I voted Libertarian - could not vote for either of the two major party candidates this time around.
