Unfortunately, millions of westerners are being indoctrinated into a radical, immoral and fundamentally flawed ideology, which is built on a modified version of old school Marxism. Way back in the early 20th century, American Marxists were disappointed to see that their old strategy of economic Marxism didn't work in america, because unlike in Russia, China & elsewhere in the east, America wasn't an oppressed monarchy, and our citizens were already economically much better off than people in those countries. What was even more dispiriting for the Marxists/socialists, was that we were developing a middle class, AND millions of lower income people were upwardly mobile. That made Marxism irrelevant and undesirable for most rational people.

So the Marxist/socialist ideologues essentially reduced the economic propaganda, and modified their message to focus on culture, race, gender and sex related propaganda. What they came up with is the incredibly deceptive, immoral, separatist, "us versus them" identity politics being spread across the media, the classroom and elsewhere.

This simple, undeniably accurate video uses basic historical fact, along with logic and common sense, to expose the dishonest and societally corrosive Marxist mindset. Every progressive or liberal should watch this. Its in no way condescending or insulting. Its just truth to power...

36 minutes of Limbaugh's protege? Pass on this one.

I'm currently watching it.

So far an interesting analysis. I am not surprised by the first two responses to your OP though.

Seems to me that many members of our more current generations seem to revere the "TLDR" response to study and investigation, where unless it is provided in easily digestable "sound bites" it's not worth looking into.

Hence why so many people (even here in this Forum) prefer "snappy answers," and canned responses...when they aren't simply attacking the person, as opposed to actual research, reading for content, and examining an argument before responding.

I don't know if I agree with the video, in all or in part yet, but I am still watching it so I can make an "informed opinion."

Unfortunately, I had hoped for open mindedness. I have no idea who's "protege" he is. I don't even recall watching videos from this particular youtuber. But what I can say FOR SURE, is that his identity and his 'apprenticeship' is completely irrelevant here. Like most politically related sources that I listen to, this guy bases the information in this video NOT on his personal opinion, or anyone else's. The information here, as I pointed out in the OP, is based on the historical record. What he does here, is dismantle the Marxist ideological propaganda(which, ironically is NOT based on historical fact), and refutes its most common and central themes, using historical truth, facts, and basic common sense and open mindedness.

Marxism is largely false propaganda, filled with cherry picked historical themes, endless factual omissions, along with lots and lots of spin and fabrication. All designed to manipulate society in the most deceptive and immoral ways, in order to foster unhappiness and outrage, so as to break down the social fabric, weaken the institutions and cause the revolution that the radicals desire.

The central theme of Marxism and socialism has basically always been the same. Their message is that there are basically 2 distinct groups of humans: oppressors and their victims. Cultural Marxism is designed to separate people by race, sex, gender, religion and class, then convince most of them that they are being oppressed by the people in the remaining groups. In order to pull it off, they must bury, spin and revise history.

I may not agree with every aspect of the video, but the historical and social realities such as historical slavery and oppression are 100% accurate. Every society has been guilty of it at one time or another. His main point there, is that the Marxists are always talking about the oppression of blacks, Latinos and Muslims, by whites, westerners and Christians. All the while, they omit the fact that Latino, Muslim and black societies had also been guilty of doing all that same oppressive stuff to other people! But leftists are always trying to convince those people that they are more pure and moral, while whites, Christians and westerners are, and have always been, the immoral oppressors, who've gotten ahead in life, by stepping all over the others..

They teach the crusades as if it was always about the evil white Christians oppressing the (noble savage) Muslims for basically no reason, other than greed and immorality. They regularly omit or deny the fact that it was the Muslims who started the wars of conquest against Europe! The Muslim religion was less than 70 years old by the time they were already conquering and subverting other cultures. They conquered North africa, the middle east, eastern europe, Spain etc. They attempted to conquer ALL of Europe. The crusades were an attempt, 300 years late, to take back some of the conquered lands. It was brutal, as the video's author makes clear. But there was brutality on all sides at different times!

But Marxists like to cherry pick ONLY the crusades, and talk about how the evil Christians went to war with the peaceful Muslims. He offers video evidence of that as well.

A protege is someone who is supported or influenced by someone who is older and/or more experienced and influential. Levin was Limbaugh's mouthpiece while Limbaugh was abusing oxycodone, and then his subsequent rehab....IOW, 'Limbaugh lite' P.S..Marxism sounds a LOT like Trumpism using the definition in your last paragraph.

This is the kind of response I was talking about in Post #4. Attack the messenger so as to discredit the message...rather than address the message.

I am not a Limbaugh supporter, never was even when he was on MSM before being banished to the internet.

However, I do love history, made a study of it as a matter of fact. Whatever else, the video was accurately describing historical events.

I've also studied politics, and many of the arguments presented were well-founded.

There was a divide between Trotskyite and Leninist-Stalinst Marxists, resulting in purges of the Trotskyites after the death of Lenin and the ascension of Stalin. They did flee to the West and found fertile ground in the open societies Western culture developed.

Now many academics are openly socialist and communist, while it seems that a growing number of indoctrinated youth have bought into the Identity politics of oppression and openly support it.

So whoever made this video, IMO was not far off the mark.

My comment about the above mentioned definition of Marxism ( post #7/last paragraph) being very equitable to Trumpism was spot on. This is reflected by Trump's own words and/or Tweets.

There is no such thing as "Trumpism." That is a made-up term for people who again prefer using fallacious arguments to attack opponents.

Trump is at worst a "populist," neither Democrat nor Republican, but just a self-interested demagogue. He represents no special school of thought, he is just riding a wave of nationalism opposed to Progressive subversion of our nation.

There is NOTHING similar to his politics and those of Marxism.

In fact, just the opposite of those who believe the Progressive-Left, Democratic-Socialists, Antifas, whatever-label of globalism, identity politics, junk science, etc.

Trump will come and go, in 2 or 6 years. Another election will take place and the pendulum will swing another direction. Pretending otherwise and trying to subvert the system with scare tactics is where the real problems lie.

Same applies to 'FAKE NEWS.'.A term coined by Trump to discredit any free press outlets who dare call out his insanity, racism, and misogyny.

Alright, so let's stop here for a moment. If the primary idea of Marxism is that there have always been oppressors and the oppressed...how are you not agreeing with that idea here?

His main point there, is that the Marxists are always talking about the oppression of blacks, Latinos and Muslims, by whites, westerners and Christians. All the while, they omit the fact that Latino, Muslim and black societies had also been guilty of doing all that same oppressive stuff to other people! There may well be some on the left who think this, but the point as I typically encounter it has to do with self-critique. There's no a whole lot I can do about what another person believes or how she acts. There is rather a lot I can do about what I believe and how I act. There is a prevailing narrative among those of European descent that western culture is supreme, bad-ass, a beneficent light on a hill shedding its effulgence on all the lesser races, etc. Heck, it wasn't too long ago that Sean Hannity called the United States something like the supreme pinnacle of all that is right and true in the world.

That narrative is incorrect. We aren't any better than anyone else. That's the point of these critiques. No one is denying that, for example, the Muslims conquered Spain, roughly half of Turkey, all of North Africa and the Middle East, etc. and did so at sword-point, with all the brutality that entails. Rather, the point is that we did morally comparable things, and hence cannot and should not look at Muslims as somehow morally reprehensible enemies. Morally, we are like they are. When I teach this subject, that's the point I try to get across.[/QUOTE]
