Please tell me which of the following is not true...

1. Trump had extramarital affairs.
2. Trump lied about his extramarital affairs.
3. Trump directed his personal attorney to pay hush money to a porn star.
4. Trump lied about the hush money.

Just trying to see where everyone is at this point.

Okay, I'll bite.

IMO:

1. No doubt about it.

2. More likely than not.

3. This is in dispute.

4. This is also in dispute, since it is muddled in various arguments.

In regards to #3, IMO Cohen had a long-standing attorney-client agreement to act as Trump's '"fixer," at least when it came to non-disclosure agreements. It is my belief that Trump would have approved of Cohen's silencing of another possible scandal when apprised of it. So there would not necessarily have been a need to "direct" Cohen to act. Cohen would simply do so when alerted by his scandal paper sources for a hush money deal. IMO Cohen would let Trump know about the issue once he (Cohen) completed his evaluation, initial negotiations, and the likelihood of agreement terms. According to Cohen's own information he was attempting to work with the Inquirer on a deal when they alerted him that Ms. Daniels was seeking to make a similar deal with a different publisher.

IMO Cohen acted to "fix it" and alerted Trump afterwards. It is possible Cohen got the okay from Trump to make the deal as originally reported to him expecting normal processing procedures. That when Cohen discovered Ms. Daniels might be going elsewhere, he just acted to get money to make the deal right away and told Trump later. I see no reason for Cohen to have had to go through a home-loan if he took the time to tell Trump, because Trump has enough assets to provide at least the hush money payment if it needed to be rushed. I am not aware of what reason there was why the Daniels agreement was not signed by Trump, only by Cohen.

As for Item 4, that depends on item 3 doesn't it?

Yes, let's break this down... When I was a Democrat back in the days when Bill Clinton was president, I always heard it said, and btw I agree with it, why is the extracurricular sex life of the president the public's business?
The Republicans were just brutal. It was only because Clinton lied under oath that they could finally get him impeached, and as we all know that was a proven nothing burger in the long run. So what difference does one through four on your list make? What does it change? We all know he cheated, but he was elected anyway

Just like Bill Clinton... that was public knowledge he paid Paula Jones off.... IMO, libertarians should defend the president's freedom to have consensual affairs outside their marriage. If he used his own money to hush, and that party took his money, and he did so to keep it from hurting his marriage, so what? If Melania forgives him and is still standing by her man, what business is it of yours?

And today's Democrats, they've become everything that they hated when the Republicans went after Clinton. What hypocrites to defend Bill Clinton and go after this president.

As we break it down, which of those are illegal?

Correct answer: None of them. A candidate can finance, contribute as much as he wants to his own campaign. Besides which , it cannot be proven that the payment was solely about the campaign... especially as this is coming from his 10 years long major "fixer"? This in itself shows the pattern of this same sort of thing being done not just for campaigns, but well before... as an apparent matter of course.

So, where's the ( legal) beef?

This has nothing to do with sex.

So far what 1-4 represents is what Trump NOW admits to.

Stay tuned.

All of that happened and none of it is illegal.

The sky is blue, water is wet, Trump is as much a douchebag today as he was yesterday, and mindless leftist twats are STILL desperately trying to find SOMETHING to claim as a legit reason to get rid of a duly elected president.

Meanwhile...the economy is still booming, the government is still going through a much needed revision and correction, the US is still working on correcting trade imbalances and fixing immigration problems that have been in place for decades, congress remains inept, and supporters of both parties till couldnt give a **** about anything but things with a D or R next to their name or cause.

All of those are true and also not really shocking as all these things were pretty much a known before he was elected.

No no no. The current story is that Michael Cohen paid off the harlots without Don knowing anything about it. Cohen just did that all on his own, and then Swamp Thing reimbursed him because, you know, we all always just reimburse people who throw around hush money to protect our good name without us knowing anything about it. ;)

Greetings, VanceMack. :2wave:

I haven't watched any movies lately - which is a different thread on here today anyway - but IMO you have posted the best overall summation of what's been happening so far in real life in this country, so it gets an "excellent" rating from me! 10 out of 10! :lamo
