Newt Gingrich: Democrats have no idea what demons they are unleashing

While you're off pretending it's a binary position, either capitalism or socialism, with nothing in between, most modern nations in the world, including the US, are a combination of both. Stop dealing in black and white and recognize that as a social democracy we're both. If the US paid HALF as much for UHC as it does on healthcare now it would not make it a socialist country, just a country with affordable healthcare for all.

And the socialist policies in America are bankrupting us.

Americans pay at least double what other nations pay with full coverage, and consistently has worse outcomes. We have tens of millions who can't see a doctor period and tens of millions who go bankrupt from medical bills. You can keep throwing your hands up with "socialism!" and pretending we could never do what every other first world nation has done, but the proof is in the pudding. You can't point to one single example of success around the world using the system conservatives are arguing for.

I am not defending what is, either public or private, but your assertion is basically that anything would be better which is exactly what got us a half-baked, Rube Goldberg PPACA 'private' system that was publicly funded. First, show me the actual US UHC bill that you support - not vague assertions that 'surely we will adopt (copy?) an existing, well working UHC model'.

Social democracy? When was that term invented?

It doesn't matter, we've had some degree of it all along.
This so called libertarian society where every man is a free island that you guys keep talking about would resemble 18th century London, Amsterdam, or Paris.
You'd be taking a honey bucket out to the streets or the alley every morning because we wouldn't have any sewers, and without municipal water utilities you'd be washing your clothes in the river or digging a well in the middle of Main Street, along with everyone else.
You'd be paying a toll just to drive out of your driveway.

Seniors are already socialist. They get social security and medicare. And FTW, if they don't have outside income or a financially supportive family , they live a life of poverty.

"Social Democracy" is just a media massaged word to take the sting out of putting half the country on welfare supported by the other half.

This is sickening to read, but worse yet, it's a gigantic bit of hyperbole. Teen angst's got nuthin' on you.
Why don't you enlighten the class on how things would work if we surgically removed every last vestige of ANYTHING altruistic, and made this country 110% libertarian.
What would the place look like?

Yes, nothing even remotely like half the working class putting the wealthiest on welfare.

What tangent? I pointed out we're a mixed economy and that even conservative seniors love their bit of socialism. Both a pure capitalist society and a pure socialist society would be horrible countries to live in, which is why everyone is mixed.

Not interested.

These guys are screaming for the purest capitalism they can get.
Everything must be privatized.

Gingrich has No Idea what Demons this Criminally Insane Traitor has unleashed.

Meanwhile, Gingrich’s Secretary he was banging on his Speaker’s Desk while his Wife was Dying is now our Ambassador to the Vatican.

We continue down the Road of a 21st Century Civil War, in every Way, Shape, and Form, except for the 2nd amendment remedies the Alt-Reich continues to Threaten.

Would you be ok with a little fascism? Not a lot, just a little.

I wouldn't, nor would I be ok with just a little communism.

We have a wannabe Fascist as President and you don't seem to mind. Trump even said Nazi's were "good people".

What It’s Like Living In A Democratic Socialist Country?
Bernie Sanders wants America to be more like Scandinavia. So what it’s like living in a democratic socialist country? Expensive. I lived in Norway for almost a year and found some cracks in the system. It’s not utopia, far from it. Life is a little easier but not a comrade’s paradise like Micheal Moore would like you to think. As much as I consider myself a democratic socialist, I believe that there can be better ways of choosing our goals for a classless, post-racial, multiethnic, anti-sexist, and economically fair and just multicultural society.

Interesting read. Not sure I like the sounds of it though.

There were no "communists" in Charlottesville. They are all under your bed.

ANTIFA was in Charllottesville. They're communists. Are communists good people?

Maybe so... but the Nazis still smell worse. Communists only hate you for what you have... Nazis hate you for what you are.

They both hate you because of what you are and what you have. They're birds of a feather.

Both are human garbage.

Much like your deplorable crowd, you'd peobably find tons of common ground, I'd seek them out, Nazis are your friends, and more importantly, a lot of Trump's base, so I wouldn't be aliennating them if you want to further destroy 'murica by re-electing the current corrupt administrtion, which is clearly important to you.
