They claimed that they may soon, and I quote "be unable to exist… or pursue its advocacy mission." It says so in the article that I posted. It's not my fault that they have crappy political fundraising campaigns, and/or you can't seem to read a complete article.

No they are using campaign scare tactics to get people to give them money. Not sure why you care about bankruptcy as the title of this thread is that the NRA isn't really broke despite what they claimed.

Words mean things.

In a sense your OP is correct. They aren't Bankrupt. Nor have they ever stated they are.

May not be able to exist is pretty similar to bankrupt. That's why they were asking for money. Context matters.
