Quite frankly, the Republican and Democratic parties are hypocritical, dumbasses....

"Govern" is putting it charitably. The Democrats are trying to maintain a certain, sustainable level of disorder to exploit us more... well, sustainably.

They're typically the lesser of two evils because the GOP are bound and determined to eat the goose that lays the golden eggs, undercooked, in one sitting.

To switch metaphors, they're like Batman villains: you'd rather live with the Penguin than with the Joker, but what you'd really rather do is not live with criminals.

I couldn't agree more. They all play to the audience that is standing in front of whatever stage they are standing on. Some, are more obvious than others, (ie: you know who) but a professional politician, in my humble opinion, is not worthy of ANY trust until proven over a LONG period of time. Most do not pass that muster. Either party.

The Affordable Care Act passed with 0 Republican voters, despite being a twenty-year-old Heritage Foundation con job. Means they could have passed anything they wanted, if they wanted, but what we got was a blatant handout to the insurance companies. Last election, the Democrats had a Presidential candidate who promised to implement an actual universal health care system...

It's been a few years since the Democrats have had the power to really bend us over... so I'd have to refresh my memory before I could offer more.

I think you've described the lesser-of-two-evils thing well. Democrats have been pushing the lesser-of-two evils approach for years. They said that keeping to DNC-approved candidates was the only way we could prevail. They threatened disaster if we didn't hold our noses and vote for out-of-touch corporate cosies. Well millions of people have toed the DNC party line over the last 15 years or so. It doesn't seem to have worked out very well.

Yea, they both kinda suck. The worrying part about them to me is when they pass bills and laws that are "bipartisan". Then we're REALLY screwed. Every single time.

more? so far you have offered none. You seem to have an issue with Obamacare and Universal Healthcare but that's not an example of hypocrisy or "dumbassery". You obviously understand the concept of hypocrisy when pointing out zero republicans voted for mandates. There's got to be one example you can think of.

Anytime something is mentioned with Trump or the Republicans, it's like a reflex action with those with Trump Defense Syndrome (TDS) to react with (but but but Dems, Hillary, Obama). You guys can't own up to your side period. Even under Obama I could list things I didn't like about him which is why I didn't vote for him in 2012. You guys, however, with Trump or the Republicans think that mentioning Dems, Hillary or Obama some how excuse all actions with Trump or the Republicans.

But it is hypocritical if you guys were just fine with Obama, etc and yet now blame Trump for the very same thing. Russian election meddling is just one thing. Obama was fine with it, did nothing, and even told his people to stand down and just let it happen.
