Have you checked the top dog's pay rate for NRA, RNC, DNC, Planned Parenthood, Citizens for Life, Sierra Club and on and on and on.....?

How shocked would you be if you saw the same investors involved in opposite sides of advocacy organizations?

Are we all just being sucked into a big money game?

The short answer is yes.

Our entire culture and society revolves around money, and we are being sold constantly from every possible angle.

The republic has been consumed by capitalism.

I'd say yes. We know quite a lot of corporations, wall street firms and lobbyist donate their money to both parties and their candidates. As one put it, that way regardless of who wins, they owe us. Of course incumbents gets the larger share as they win most of the time. Want to know who is going to win the midterm elections, follow the donation money, especially from wall street.

An example of this for 2018 is AT&T who has donated 2.4 million to Democrats and 2.7 million so far to Republicans. Comcast 2.0 million to Democrats, 2.3 million to Republicans, Blue Cross/Blue Shield 2.1 million to democrats, 1.9 million to Republicans. These are but examples of corporations and firms who donate to both parties. Then you have some firms who stand on principal, Fahr LLC/Tom Steyer 29.5 million to democrats, zero, nothing to Republicans and on the other side Uline Inc 29.2 million to Republicans while giving only 3,000 to Democrats.

Money raised so far, all of it for the 2018 midterms, House of Representatives only 607 million for the Democrats, 465 million for the Republicans. Following the money, the Democrats should have a banner year. Senate, 340 million for the Democrats, 219 million for the Republicans. Keep in mind the number of seats up for elections. Also seats in big states cost a heck of a lot more to run an election campaign than small states.

The bottom line is our politics revolves around money and the side with the most money usually wins.
