The following video speaks for itself:

The TDS is strong in so many citizens on the Left.

Thank you Mr. Paul.

IMO the Chinese are the real threat, they've been hacking us for years.

IMO the Chinese are the real threat, they've been hacking us for years with very little outrage or pushback from our government.

He's one to talk.

Paul is just another one of Trump's bitches.

He has no principles - never did. When Trump tells him to put the MAGA panties on and vote for whatever garbage is in front of him, he does so without any reservations whatsosever.

Does China hack the US? Certainly. But the last time I checked, it was 12 Russian GRU officers that were indicted for hacking into the DNC server and setting up the Guccifer 2.0 cutout, the DCLeaks website, and using Julian Assange's Wikileaks to dump stolen DNC data and influence the 2016 election. Despite Putin's insipid and vapid denials, the Russians have increased the tempo of cyberattacks.....

It was a relatively good, well-considered, reasonable speech. Unfortunately, other than those who are predisposed to agreeing with Paul, few are going to listen to it.

Why is it BS in your opinion? The United States has been drawn into proxy wars with the Soviet Union and Russia in the past (and we have dragged them into proxy wars with us in turn). Do you find it so inconceivable that we cannot be drawn into another?

Where exactly does he figuratively masturbate Putin in this speech? What specifically do you disagree with?

Certainly we have in the past been drawn into proxy wars. However, there is zero evidence of any war, proxy or otherwise, coming with Russia. Sanctions, bad relations, lots of covert activity, yes. War, not so much.

Regardless of the sinister motivations you see behind what he is saying, what exactly do you disagree with in his speech that you do not find worth your consideration?

Paul would have been an isolationist German sympathizer in the 1930s, as were so many gop appeasers then.

I would not go so far as that. We have done slightly more than simply dip our toe in the water with regard to the Syrian conflict, and we are presently arming the Ukrainians. It is certainly not outside of the realm of possibility that the Russians will arm our adversaries to kill and maim our soldiers and those of our allies, and that this will not metastasize into something greater still.

Undoubtedly he would have been a Charles Lindbergh-style isolationist. He already is something of a Charles Lindbergh-style isolationist and wants the United States to withdraw from the world and not be its policeman any longer. Something I heartily disagree with him and most paleo-conservatives about.

But that does not necessarily make him a stooge or a lover of Putin. He is just the proverbial Good Man who lets the Evil Man prevail by doing nothing.

Good, I'm glad he spewed this ****. Let's get all the Kremlin sympathizers in Congress on the record. No more hiding behind thinly-veiled platitudes.

This will be the week we look back on.

Actually, the last time I checked it was 12 GRU officers ALLEGED (which is what indicted means btw, since there has been no trial much less any convictions) to have hacked the DNC computers. Which they may very well have done.

Meanwhile, the DNC emails allegedly hacked from the DNC computer by the Russians and released via Wikileaks, regardless of source, were indisputably true.

Emails that FACTUALLY showed all sorts of election shenanigans on the part of the Democratic Party and Hillary's campaign, not least of which was undermining her opponent Bernie Sanders to insure she won the nomination.

So, China is stealing our technology, stealing personal information on millions of American citizens, trying to disrupt our economy, etc., but it is Russia that is the major threat?

Gee, I wonder which side is making the Russia "threat" more important than either it's economy or political power actually displays?

Why do Rand Paul, trump, the gop senate, and the gop house want to make China company ZTE great again?

Both of which are a long way from any kind of proxy war. Not even in the same universe actually. Nor does investigating and properly reacting to Russian crimes in the US make war more likely. Face it, Paul said something stupid(alot of things actually, as being concerned with a presidents actions is not "TDS", nor is it impossible to have more than one global adversary), and the big question is whether he is really that stupid, or just assuming his followers are that stupid.

The response to this OP has been like someone saying "Wow, the flu is pretty bad this year" followed by everyone hacking up a lung.

But Obama did the very same thing with Iran. He said we had to make a (bad) nuclear deal with Iran rather than going to war. We could have just stayed the course we were on and made a good deal. We didn't need to make a bad deal with Iran and it was not a choice of making a bad deal or going to war - as Obama framed it.
