When Roe v. Wade is overturned it will likely lead to each state having its own abortion laws. Some will be the same as today but others may have criminal penalties for patients or doctors. It is also very unlikely that new laws will make the number of abortions less common as people will hop into cars and go to states where they can get one. That creates the hypothetical scenarios I am curious about...
1. If an abortion is performed in a state where it is legal, can a doctor or patient be held criminally liable in a state where it is considered murder?
2. Will states band together to financially penalize states that restrict/support abortion rights?
3. Will every miscarriage be investigated as a possible murder in states that criminalize abortion?
4. Will abortion laws be constantly in flux? Even among those who identify as "pro life" exceptions for rape, incest, and medical necessity are hot button issues.
5. Will states go after Plan B and other birth control measures?
