When Obama was in I thought he was a pretty good guy but a crappy president because he couldn't find a way to work around the Republican obstruction. A better politician, I thought, would be more effective. But Trump can't find a way to work around his own damn party, fergawdsake, and he says he needs the cooperation of the Democrats. What a fustercluck that party has become. It's like they got so locked in to "No!", so used to being in opposition that they can't govern anymore. How much simpler does it have to be for them?
And what's with sabotaging the economy? Things were booming before Trump got down to business- now it's all going to go down the flusher and Trump will hold his hands in the air and blame everyone in the world except himself.
Ya...this scenario is very plausible.
The tax cuts, I have to say, look to be a good thing. The way they're raising tariffs willy-nilly? hmmm...as a Canuck, I'm not too worried about this.
I seriously doubt any of this bitch-fight between Pixey-Dust and Donny-Boy will amount to much.
I think Donny's betting that the US consumer-based economy is so big, that even China will pay whatever it takes to be a part of it. We'll see who flinches first.
Donny's pandering to his base, means he buys allot o' votes from the millions who have suffered from the vacating of manufacturing and mining primarily. Hence he took Michigan and Pennsylvania...and won the election. It was a HUGE gamble, on his part, and it paid off. I think the secondary reason he is the American President now, is that he presented a voice in the Whitehouse that had no problems say F'U to just about anybody. A reflection of the sheer frustration of the American people, with their own form of "government for sale".
The American people wanted to tell the US government that they were and still are, dissatisfied with their performance.
Perhaps its unfortunate that the only one available at the time was "The Donald".
But hey...lets all be grown-ups for just a second. Ever since 9/11, the US government has been...LaLa Land.
You wanna tear a nation apart? The events of the last 18 years has done exactly that.
It was funny to watch for a while. Now...its getting sick. You people need to ask yourselves the single most important question.
"Where's all the money flowing?"
Then act on the results, as Americans. Not as Dumbocrats and Reprobates.
Good luck with that...
