Which is worse? Obama bow or Trump salute?

I can only imagine how Sean Hannity's hair would have been on fire if Obama pulled that stunt . He'd have **** a brick.

I can supply the brick for him.

The “bow” was too long ago; the “salute” was a reflex reaction to the NOKO officer. Trump went for the handshake and the officer went right to the salute.

It seems Reagan started the policy; I have always cringed when any President saluted a military aide/guard.

Sorry, The Presidential Salute Isn't A Real Thing

Trump saluting an enemy is far far far worse than a bow to a long time ally.

Trump's salute is nothing, what is worse is how Trump showers Kim Jong-un with praise in front of every reporter he has talked to since. Let that sink in, Trump showered a man with praise that has tortured to death American citizens, thrown American citizens into labor camps just to use them as diplomatic pawns, starved his own people, runs the most repressive regime in the history of civilization (Stalin's Russia was a beacon of freedom compared to North Korea today), and has hundreds of thousands of his own citizens locked up in concentration camps so large they are visible from space.

It would be like FDR meeting with Hitler in the late 30s, calling him a talented man, who loved his people and was loved by his people, and just gushing with praise for him in front of the reporters, all the while knowing about his death camps, and doing so in exchange for nothing but the same empty promises he was giving everyone else.

As I have said before on here, this all goes to show you how spineless the Democrats are. If Trump had a D after his name, every elected Republican in the country would be in front of every camera in the country talking about Trump is showering a man with praise that has tortured Americans and runs the most evil regime on earth. They would be calling him morally and intellectually unfit for office, and demanding his resignation, yet the spineless Democrats can't even make an issue out of it.

I just can't get over how spineless the Democrats are. If Trump were a Democrat, we would see ads right now being ran by conservative pacs showing Trump's praise of Kim Jong-un, and then hearing the accounts of babies buried alive in North Korean concentration camps, North Koreans starving, 3 generations of North Korean families being thrown in death camps simply because one of them failed to properly genuflect to a picture of Kim Jong-un. The Republicans would already have better than half the country demanding his resignation in shame.

Not sure how either are a problem, except for people looking for something to whine about.

I don't think saluting a war criminal is the problem, its the showering Kim Jong-un with praise that is the problem.

I don't know about you, but I've seen liberals making an issue of it.

Oh they have been half assed making an issue of it, but it is not the kind of coordinated response you would see from Republicans if Trump had a D after his name.

Dinesh D'souza would already be filming one of his ****ty documentaries about it with a title like "Shame in Singapore". They would have already voted to censure him in congress. The Republicans would already have better than half the country demanding his resignation in shame by now.

I will give Republicans one thing, they got a damn backbone and they will fight hard.

Fair enough.

I do agree with you on the fact that Trump being so supportive of a totalitarian dictator and talking about his "special bond" with them and whatnot is the real problem though, rather than some salute he gave a soldier while he was there.

Well, Redress. A great many people died in the Korean War. And it's uncommon for a member of the US military to salute anyone that ranks below them, especially a hostile foreign general. Also, it helps Kim's propaganda machine to see a US President saluting his general. The list actually goes on, hopefully those reasons are sufficient.

To be honest, that doesn’t bother me too much.

I mean, it’s terrible if he means it, but it’s such transparent fawning that it’s clearly false flattery. Kim probably knows this too, but they probably have a psychological profile on the guy that suggests that flattery works...much like you know it works for Trump.

The same goes for the goofy video they did. It’s crazy..but Kim is abscesses with American movies...and a trailer made just for him might be convincing.

This all being said....I have absolutely no doubt Trump with **** this up, potentially in a spectacular way.

Military members salute people of lower rank all the time. You might want to learn about the military before saying something like that. Also, Trump is not really a military member, and it was pretty meaningless. Making a big deal out of it is just as stupid as making a big deal out of Obama bowing.

Like Obama doing the wave at a baseball game with a Cuban dictator. What a puss.

He's the leader of the military, commander n chief. And they salute lower rank members in their own military. Notice I said, it's uncommon, especially a hostile foreign power.

And I'm no Korean Vet, but they seem pretty upset by it, so maybe you don't speak for the military as much as you think. Maybe, look into why people are upset before calling them whiners.

Or make a knee jerk judgement, matters not to me.

You are equating the fan wave in a stadium of thousands with a salute?!?!?!?!?!?!? WOW!!!!!!!! :doh:roll:
