Just 5 months from mid-term elections the still exceedingly partisan DNC, not learning from its monumental mistakes in the campaign for the 2016 election, decided to shoot itself in the foot again. Again it seems the DNC ignores recent past experience, ignores the data that indicates that if it had supported Sanders instead of conspiring to marginalize him Bernie would have beaten Trump resoundingly.
Nooooo, the DNC doesn't want those votes. Nooooo, they are convinced they are on the path to greatness. Yo mama! My money says the DNC remains as clueless as ever, maybe more so. What path? Where? All I see is a circle. OK, and maybe a circle jerk.
This brilliant feckin move should just inspire the hell out of confused voters many of those who supported Sanders, Independents who voted for Sanders, minorites who saw little real hope in the DNC in 2016 and young voters who have seen and experienced a bucketful of ugly in the last 500 plus days.

"The DNC has learned nothing."

That was how the advocacy group People for Bernie reacted to reports late Friday that the rules and bylaws arm of the Democratic National Committee has moved ahead with a new resolution that, according to Yahoo News, would "force candidates in Democratic presidential primaries to state that they are Democrats" and "to 'run and serve' as a member" of the party.
While allies of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)—who ran as a Democrat in the 2016 presidential primary while still identifying as an independent—said they don't expect the new rules to hinder Sanders' chances of running for the Democratic nomination in 2020 if he chooses to do so, many supporters of the Vermont senator characterized the rule change as a completely unnecessary "slap in the face" to progressive outsiders.
