Maher: We are not winning

Bill Maher often has some hard truths for liberals. To all those Swampy supporters and conservatives who say that liberals control everything. I give you this clip. It's a good rundown of what has happened in politics in the past few years. Republicans have had more success than the liberals. It basically says conservatives control everything and they do whatever they want without caring, while liberals control nothing and try to shame people by mob rule.

Maher is always thought provoking... and in this case he is right. So the big question is what do we do about it?

Let me translate. "We offered the worst candidate in the history of this country when we rigged our own primary and we didn't get what we wanted so they are being mean and doing conservative stuff so we should continue on with the eternal tantrum. Poor me."

He is right in one thing. The conservatives are more successful right now. He demonstrates a real good example of why.

I'm glad he's confirming that American politics has devolved into "Us. vs. Them," and screw what's best for everyone.

He makes a valid observation that progressives have been rebuked and assigned to sitting in the backseat for awhile. He goes about it in a pouty way and he is guility of doing what he criticizes the left for doing in terms of trying to shame the people he disagrees with. I will say this about him. I don't agree with him often but sometimes I do. I don't like his style of trying to shame and mock people he disagrees with, but I do like his sincerity. He is kinda like the lefts version of Hannity in that respect. They both believe what they are saying. I respect people who are honest about what they believe.

Progressives on both the left and the right have been leading this country for the past 30yrs. The pendelum has swung like it always done and we are going to see conservative ideas implimented and progressive ones undone. The pendulum will swing back to progressives eventually but for now the mood of the nation is for conservatism. Make no mistake the cons will go too far and lose control again. That's the nature of politics and governance.

I don't know if anyone can go any further than wishing and hoping as Maher did, for America's economy to tank and plunge into a recession. It boggles the mind and "I'm sorry, but..." makes me want to punch this guy in his fugly face.
Progressives hate Trump more than they love America and people-millionaires-like Maher and Pelosi who think thousand-dollar raises are crumbs and low unemployment is "pfffffffffft" are going to ensure Trump wins in 2020.

How can you wish for people to lose their jobs and homes, and struggle to make ends meet and feel despair and depression and possible even commit suicide, just you can get Trump out of office?

Maher reminds me of my cousin. He's a liberal. He's smart.

I don't agree with him on everything.

And you know what? We agree to disagree on that, and still love each other.

My cousin can play "Imagine" ..quite well.

Dems want the economy to tank to keep their base on the Plantation. Keep them poor and dependent. Keep them in crime-infested neighborhoods. Keep them racially divided.
What happens when suddenly, people realize the promise of Obama never came to fruition and inexplicably, they find themselves better off with Trump?
