DOJ watchdog will rake Comey over the coals — for hurting Hillary Clinton: report

A new report set to be released by the Justice Department’s inspector general will apparently rake former FBI Director James Comey over the coals — but it won’t be for the reasons President Donald Trump has been hoping for.

According to ABC News, the IG’s report will fault Comey for his decision to ignore DOJ recommendations when it came to his decision to announce he would reopen the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server eleven days before the 2016 presidential election.
“Before Comey sent the letter to Congress, at least one senior Justice Department official told the FBI that publicizing the bombshell move so close to an election would violate longstanding department policy, and it would ignore federal guidelines prohibiting the disclosure of information related to an ongoing investigation,” one source tells ABC News.

Additionally, the report will criticize Comey for failing to consult with former Attorney General Loretta Lynch before issuing his scathing statement on Clinton’s use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state, which he called “extremely careless.”

If there is any truth to this, and I of course have no idea if there is or not, it will not go the way the citizens of Trump Fan Nation want or expect it to.
 
What a load of crap. Hillary didn't lose because Comey. Hillary didn't lose because Russkies. Hillary didn't lose because stupid deplorable Republican women voted the way hubby told them to. Hillary didn't lose because Trump. There were two reasons Hillary lost. Democrats and Hillary.

Comey not consulting Lynch? Would that be the same Lynch that met the other Clinton on the back lot of an airport while Hillary was being investigated?

It was the Russians, Comey, and Cambridge Analytica, among others. Not only did Comey announce, against policy, that one of the candidates was under investigation, he didn't mention that the other candidate was under investigation too! No bias there, then.
 
Comey didn't think there was any way Clinton could lose. He was covering his ass and hers.

Is the IG report going to scold Comey for re-opening the investigation? Yeah, whatever! :lamo

LOL!!

Comey would be so lucky to have the IG report do only what your article says...but it won't. It's going to be much worse.

Think about it...this is a 400-500 page report. It concerns the entire FBI investigation into the Hillary email scandal. Not just that little bit about Comey.

In any case, the report will be released next week on the 14th. That's when THAT pile of **** is going to hit the fan. There will be more piles coming in the months ahead.
