The chickens are coming home to roost. Literally. This is absolutely remarkable, a Republican is telling Mr. Swampy that he should get a new lawyer.

(CNN)Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican, suggested Monday that the President should hire a new lawyer if his current one is telling him that he can pardon himself.

"If I were President of the United States and I had a lawyer that told me I could pardon myself, I think I would hire a new lawyer," Grassley told CNN when asked if he agrees that President Donald Trump could pardon himself.

You want to ask SCOTUS if Rudy should be Swampy's lawyer.......................................

I am not taking legal advice from a member of Congress, a body full of second and third rate people who have not been able to run a hearing anywhere near JUST OK QUALITY in years because again, they suck.

THAT'S who it was. I was looking all over today, trying to remember who said it.
I wouldn't believe anything Grassely says, he's a ****ing spineless coward like the rest of the GOP. He'll always bend over and spread his cheeks for Trump, so don't think for a second he wouldn't back him IF he tries to pardon himself.

Perhaps Trump's strategy is to establish a debatable position whereby he can later claim he received inept representation?

lol... that would be funny if he admitted he hired the worst people

The only difference now is GOP donors and big business probably don't like the tariffs, and if Grassely's donors don't like Trump he might grow more of spine (for the wrong reason).

Why is a NYC mayor who is clearly insane, better? That's a rhetorical question, btw.

Rudy is there for his theatrics.... and to make Trump comfortable after he had lost faith in his team... not for his legal abilites...yet another thing you dont know.....

I follow journalists on twitter. They help.

I usually do but haven't had the chance to get on Twitter today. Honestly, I get all of my breaking news from Twitter. Usually, when something breaks, I have several different sources tweeting about it.

The embarrassment is not SCOTUS.

I am sorry to hear that you are not aware that your Supreme Court has fallen on hard times, has lost a great deal of the respect that used to be placed with them.

This long predates Trump, and the awareness that they suck does not reside in only America, the rest of the world watches.

They can not be expected to be up to the job of saving the nation.

Inept representation? You mean as in a legal defense? Or groundwork for his next rally in an airport hangar in Bullpasture, Iowa?
I think Trump still thinks his ratings can protect him. Nothing bad can happen long as they love him.
