Really.
So, what trait or characteristic is it that all 'lefties' or 'righties' have in common? See, the guy I replied to said that 'lefties' are intolerant, while he was protesting that he knows exactly what bigotry means. Do you really not see the irony in any of this?
Especially given that the post I replied to came from someone who considers everyone from an authority-hating liberal to a flaming communist and a rock-throwing anarchist to be under the 'lefties' blanket.

I am not intolerant of Christians, I am intolerant of attempts at theocracy. The basic concept of liberty is that your right to live your life as you choose extends so far as to not impede another individual's ability to do the same. When you try to legislate your religious beliefs into law (preserve "traditional marriage", sodomy laws, blue laws, laws banning same sex couples from adopting and so on), then you are violating the liberty of others. No one should be tolerant of that.
