It seems some folks want to give him all the credit if things go well with North Korea. Does he get all the blame if things don't pan out? I want to get people on the record because I suspect Mr. Bombast will do something to screw it up and I suspect those singing for him to get the Nobel are not too set on accountability.

That said, I would like him to succeed for the good of all those involved.

Perhaps a new thread, with a poll, listing various deals as a success??

There is no way they would blame him if DPRK reneges on promises. No one should blame anyone other than DPRK, really.

He gets a little credit if it goes well and he gets a little blame if it doesn’t. The US is just one of the parties involved in this and we aren’t even the main one.

On matters like this I agree with LT Daniels from The Wire.

I don't think Trump is to blame for NK not denuclearizing because I don't think NK will EVER do that no matter what Trump does. Even with these talks the only thing on the table really is discontinuing their nuclear testing and not building more. However, NK has not stated they will GIVE UP their nukes and they had even stated in the past their goal of obtaining nukes was the prerequisite before they would even sit down and talk to the US.

He'd earn blame if he was over-hyping it from the beginning, certainly.

I don't feel nearly as confident as others seem to be, as I haven't seen how the dynamic has changed.

Why is North Korea willing to give up it's nukes now, when it wasn't a year ago?

If Trump does win a Nobel it will be different than Obamas.
Trumps will be by Nobel the inventor of dynamite.
Obamas was by J.J on Good Times the inventor of "Dynomite"

An earlier poster on an earlier thread implied Obama should get credit since he is chums with Dennis Rodman who was acting as an unofficial enmisary for a peace plan brokered by Obama.

Trump is not in this for accolades or Peace trophies. He’s here to economically reform the US. Stragetic alignments just like of fall on you from the Joint Chiefs.

Trump will give it to Omama. “Here. He collects the damn things, he can have it”.

0% credit for success, 100% blame for failure

Why didn't the "main ones" gitter done before, now?
