Here's John Bolton.

Really?

Hmm...I lived in New York City during the Occupy startup. I lived in L.A. during the Rodney King riots. I lived in NYC during the Blackout riots. I lived in Watts during the Watts' riots.

I am no stranger to "taking it to the street" rhetoric and activism...which usually ended up making things worse for the people who lived there.

Precisely my point. You won't see willingly see me on a street corner with a sign. I just think most Republican voters are full of **** on this talking point, since they loved it when their group of peasants did it for 7 years.

Since you're here, Cap, what is your thought on the choice of John Bolton? As a libertarian can you justify picking a chickenhawk neocon?

I don't know enough about him to have an opinion at this time.

However, I don't support interventionism, especially that designed to move the social focus via a "good war."

I was one of the rare breed who argued against Bush Jr.'s Iraq/Afghan war...and railed against the Patriot Act; both knee-jerk reactions to 9/11.

1. I do not believe The United States is morally responsible for taking "some action" outside of our own national borders. We don't have the right nor duty to act as the "World's Policeman." I support humanitarian aid; and use of political influence to keep other nations out of foreign internal struggles.

2. Each nation is responsible for its own internal politics, no one should interfere. The people of each society must work things out on their own for there to be any chance of long-term stability. External interference typically serves to undermine the legitimacy of whichever factions wins, creating an unstable political environment ripe for further trouble.

3. It does not matter the form of political ideology that ends up in control without outside influence or interference. If it has a negative effect on the society it governs, history has shown that as long as examples of other more positive options exist outside that State, it will either collapse on it's own or it's people will eventually overthrow and replace it.

John Bolton will be Trump's pick to replace H.R. McMaster. It may interest some to note that John Bolton served United States Ambassador to the United Nations which is very interesting since he Bolton pubicly stated that the United Nations didn't exist. His U.N. position was not a result of a senate confirmation as even the republicans in the senate opposed his confirmation. He got his appointment via a recess appointment by George W. Bush.He is well known for his extreme views regarding U.S. First Strike on North Korea.
It is my hope that the link I provide will work since I am not very adept at things pertaining to computers. But I provide this to you anyway and if it doesn't work please go to Daily Kos and read the article entitled a Horrifying person. Here is the link. https://m.dailykos.com/stories/2005/415/106909/- or https://m.dailykos.com.

The Daily Kos ? Lol !
Anyway, the dripping irony of Hillary and or Obama supporters critiquing the Foreign policy of any administration let alone Trumps just cannot be ignored.

Obama's numerous Foreign policy gaffes are just a small part of a disastrous legacy.
They included the Arab Spring and Obama's support for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama pulled all stabilizing US military assets out of Iraq and then did absolutely nothing as ISIS streamed across the Syrian border and into Iraqi cities killing women, men and children.

Obama refused to engage ISIS ( for some reason ) and we were told defeating ISIS would take generations. Trump did it in a few months

Obama's foolish 2013 deal with Putin allowed Russia to gain a foothold in the ME and it led to a Russian, Assad and Iranian alliance that to this day threatens to destabilize a already unstable region and threatens US allies in the region.

His Libyan policy turned that Country into a hotbed for Jihadist and along with his feckless policy on Syria led to a unprecedented refugee crisis

His deal with Iran gave the Iranian mullahs billions in cash to continue funding terror throughout the region.
Hell, Obama flew 400 million USD to Switzerland ( and around Congress ) so it could be laundered and then flown into the worlds leading State sponsor of terror, Iran.

All these Trump haters who think their TDS equates to a well informed and intelligent position on Foreign policy need to talk less, and read more

When McMaster was appointed a year ago I felt a sense of relief. I viewed McMaster and Mattis as our safeguards in a volatile Administration. One of those safeguards is gone. Bolton’s appointment makes me feel the exact opposite from when McMaster was appointed.

The only 'safeguard' left answers to 'Maddog!'

Bolton will do just fine. It will be fun to watch the pearl-clutchers heads explode on MSM over this.
That depends on what "fine" is. Bolton is a destabilizing character who has an unstable boss. All this will serve Putin's interests just "fine."

We will have to agree to disagree. Unless you have some Minority Report capability to pre-detect some conflict by an individual long before it happens, we just don't know.

I will watch it play out. I remember the "sky is falling" claims from the Left when Trump was elected. Last I checked, we are okay even though the Left hates Trump. Same happened with Obama from other side. We will survive just fine.

First, we're not doing just fine, as this video from John Oliver shows about the State Dept. It's like a heart attack or a stroke -- your doing just fine until you collapse.

Second, the best predictor of future results is past performance.

[h=1]Yes, John Bolton Really Is That Dangerous[/h]He has argued for attacking North Korea to neutralize the threat of its nuclear weapons, which could set off a horrific war costing thousands of lives. At the same time, he has disparaged diplomatic efforts, including the talks planned in late May between Mr. Trump and the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un. He not only wants to abrogate the six-party deal that, since 2015, has significantly limited Iran’s nuclear program, he called for bombing Iran instead. He has also maligned the United Nations and other multilateral conventions, as Mr. Trump has done, favoring unilateral solutions.

Don't show me a video from a comedian as news.
