Here's bits of Trump's Speech in PA. Where he only talks about himself, conflates, lies, brags to his idiot supporters. Trump talked about media ratings, watching TV, and bringing steel back. He signed the deal on Thursday. Some li(n)es:

2. "And a lot of steel mills are now opening up because of what I did." (Name one)
4. "A lot of evil. A lot of bad people. A lot of bad people." (Everyone but him right?)
6. "It's a little hard to sell tickets when you think you are going to be nuked."
7. "He's a sleeping son of a bitch." (Chuck Todd)
9. "They are very happy with what I'm doing." (Japan)
10. "A certain anchor on CNN ... fake as hell CNN, the, fake as hell CNN, the worst, so fake, fake news."
12. "NBC is perhaps worst than CNN, I have to tell you. And MSNBC is horrible."
14. "No, no, they are saying Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama was driving you down."
15. "I'm joking about being president for life." (fat chance)
20. "I was watching, during the campaign, and Hillary was sitting right there, and Pocahontas was up, she was so angry, you know, I think she's losing the audience."
26. "And Maxine Waters, a very low IQ individual." (Does Trump know what IQ stands for?)
27. "She's a low IQ individual. She can't help it."
28. "And Conor Lamb, Lamb the sham."
30. "And you did a great job on television today. I watched you, Rick, that was a great interview." (Executive Time)
38. "No way he's going for the things."
39. "We have done more than any first term administration in the history of our country." (Nope.)
43. "We are building the wall. 100 100%. 100%. 100%." (Nope.)
44. "I've got all the big builders, the best ones in the world. I know the best builders. We want to use the good builders, not the bad ones."
46. "You think her life is so easy, folks? Not so easy." (Who says that about Melania?)
48. "I never did polling on that. I don't know if that's popular. I don't know if that's unpopular." (Trump doesn't do polling. Obviously.)
54. "I'm not saying this as braggadocious." (really?)
60. "The red board is all red. It is like red. Man, that board was red." (Still looking at Election Maps)
61. "One of the greatest nights in the history of television in terms of people watching." (nope.)
62. "The bad news is they want to take it away from us." (Does NOT want to be President for Life?)

My goodness! Is CNN desperate, or what?

The nerve of that Trump fella - hyping foreign steel tariffs in a US steel producing area and actually having lowered taxes while campaigning for a republicant candidate. He should be more like Hillary promising retraining for (coming soon?) green jobs, higher taxes and saying vote for me because I'm a woman.

But this is what the President said.

Yep, politicians will make political speeches spewing talking points. The best way to beat them is to make arguments why your candidate's ideas are better not to try to paint the other candidate and their supporters as being dumb or dishonest.

But Trump didn't do that.

Worse. They got triggered:lamo

I miss the days when a President said something outrageous one time and it dominated the news cycle for a week. Don't you? Shouldn't the President show some civility?

Ideas?

Exactly how much time did Trump spend talking about ideas compared to how much time he spent talking about himself and the things he obsesses about?

Sure he did - but did you expect CNN to point that out?

Trump called various democrats dumb barely mentioned Saccone and brought no new ideas to the table in the PA speech, but surely it's CNN's fault for missing it. I'm sure you can show us all the shinning examples of great Trump ideas that CNN must have missed. Huh? You do realize, they showed the entire speech live right?

I have no idea, I only saw bits and pieces of that speech. The OP and CNN, of course, were selective and presented only what backed up their position.

Was he campaigning for somebody else? Who? He just talked about how horrible all sorts of other people were. Where did he say anything good about the Republican candidate or his ideas.

What I found to be the most shocking thing of all was how he encouraged the attendees to boo the American media and then stopped them when they booed North Korea's dictator.

Agreed. That's what Trump should have done. But he didn't.

You might want to do a better job at debating next time.

By kissing the fundaments of these slime ball lying socialist "news" people

No I prefer the ones who call them what they are.

And did you see the uneducated behind him clapping and smiling and hooting and hollering when he said that?

Yup lots of pretty homely girls too. This was not an accident. He doesn't even realize the difference between polls and his fan club/cult. My boss is a member of the Trump cult, and even before Trump said he wanted to be President for Life, my boss said he would like a Trump dictatorship.

When Trump says he's joking about wanting to be President for Life. He ain't joking

If we passed a constitutional amendment prohibiting lawyers from occupying the oval office that should be enough

I did not see the speech, only bits (sound bites?) from it. Calling various (yet specific) demorats dumb is standard fare for a republicant - calling their voters/supporters dumb or deplorable takes a special talent like Hillary has. The same is true of Trump's (specific) media bashing - he calls the network or a story "fake news" but doesn't deride or blame its viewers.
