Michael Isikoff and David Corn seem to think so.

*The question of how forcefully to respond would soon divide the White House staff, pitting the National Security Council’s top analysts for Russia and cyber issues against senior policymakers within the administration. It was a debate that would culminate that summer with a dramatic directive from Obama’s national security adviser to the NSC staffers developing aggressive proposals to strike back against the Russians: “Stand down.”*

It looks more worser for the Liberals every day.

It does. So many extraordinary things happened during that administration, many of them wit the cloud of corruption or abuse of power hanging over them. And still, some incorrectly, and foolishly, claim that Obama's was a 'scandal free' administration. Oh hell. Far from it.

Black Jesus is perfect. Those of you who say anything negative about Black Jesus are racists, regardless of whether there is any truth in the allegations. Which there aren't any, because Black Jesus is perfect.

My guess is that everyone banked on Hillary's winning the WH, and none of this would have come to light. Whatever Trump is, I am glad the dirty laundry gets exposed. It is about time.

Do you have a non-crap source to base your question on?

This might explain why Rogers told Congress that he wasn't getting instructions from President Trump. Either he's used to being micromanaged, or he is trying to cover Obama's ass.

It's common knowledge the Obama administration knew about the Russian meddling by August of 2016 and choose to keep it secret, from the American public. If Corn and Isikoff are correct, the Obama administration knew about this at least a year earlier if not two.

Corn and Isikoff are of the far left, perhaps extreme left, strange they would be the one's reporting on this. Both have been Obama apologist for his entire presidency. This does make one stop and think. Perhaps Trump was nothing more than the beneficiary of the Obama's stand down order. I suppose we ought to wait and see how this plays out before jumping to conclusions.

Obama was all about appeasement and conflict resolution, all that cum by ya ****. Meanwhile our adversaries took the bit and ran with it leaving Obama scratching his balls wondering what happened.

A couple of months ago it was reported the Obama administration knew of the Russian meddling in August of 2016 and decided to do nothing about about it. The article states the Obama administration knew of this a year or two earlier than that. One of the reasons why Obama decided to keep it secret was in fact he didn't want anything out there in public that would taint the election. Which you hit the nail on the head. They thought Hillary was a sure winner regardless.

Coming out in public at that late date in the campaign might have given credence to a rigged election which Trump was espousing. Either way, Obama was between a rock and a hard place on this. But why blame Trump for something Obama knew for his last two years and did nothing? He knew of long before Trump even announced.

I read this the other day from a different crap source - Mother Jones.

That's for anyone selectively disturbed about sources.
Offered here for balance, as it were.

This is the second of two excerpts adapted from Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump (Twelve Books), by Michael Isikoff, chief investigative correspondent for Yahoo News, and David Corn, Washington bureau chief of Mother Jones. The book will be released on March 13.

It was a much longer piece.

Yeah I remember (what seems like even more than a couple of months ago) there was a story about Comey bouncing around within the Obama Administration looking for some direction on how to handle the matter in terms of how or whether to make it public. He was stiff-armed at the time.

Very well could have been longer, much longer. Time flies. These things all melt together.

Yeah, I had the MJ link on hold for the ad-hom's. Actually there's a number of left of center journalists that have been doing their own debunking of this collusion sillyness.

"Some"? It was Obama himself who smugly made the claim:lol:

The only way for this to play out is to subpoena all the parties involved and Obama seems too untouchable. At least for now.

Be nice, not to mention this here thread ain't a bout Michelle.

Listen here, first off I am a do unto others as they have already done did unto us type of guy.

I lived through the Sarah Palin nonstop trash talking, living through the almost ubiquitous trashing of Melania now...and of the Donald? So a little barb thrown into their bonnet doesnt hurt none.

Third, to your point, the OP plainly states its about the Obama admin and last time I checked her name is Obama, she was considered a part of the admin, office of the first lady of the O admin is something we tax payers paid for already, so we might as well finally get something in return for the millions we spent on her...so a joke at her expense equates to mere nano cents on the dollar.

Michelle has ( extra ) broad shoulders, she can afford it.

Fine, waller in the mud with those you condemned for doing the same that you do. Break the circle, be better than them.

The thread, despite your tortured logic, is about President Obama not the First Lady Michelle Obama.

Dude...

Here, especially here, being the " good guy " means you get stampeded by knuckleheads who know with microscopic precision the pinpoint black dot on a sheet of white paper ( if its alleged to be " Republican " or Christian or it is racist because its white paper ) and they are absolutey, totally and irremediably blind to anything, they simply ignore it completely, if it goes against their side or one of theirs.

This isnt calling, willy nilly, anyone against (for any reason ) their pet client groups (from their ongoing repetiore), a racist, a xenophobe, homophobe...a bigot...the list goes on and on...

Yep, i am not so good as to not to do things Trump style. There is very little chance, with mere facts, logic and truth on one's side, of changing poorly formed opinions of the bunker basement hardened ideologues on site...but one can strive to make them attone for multiple past sins.

Oh, I dont waller in the mud, I just whip out my metaphorical AR 15, with scope and unlimited magazine capacity ( that really slays them ), and from here in Panama pick them off in their parent's cozy basements, shooting them only where theyve already shot themselves, in both their left " foots " .

With the huge holes already extant in their undersized heads, aiming to pop the many balloons full of hot air inside do not make for particulary great targets anyhow.

As to your last point, name of the thread is: Did Obama admin issue a “stand down” order on Russian meddling? That is the thread, right? Not Obama, the Obama administration. Right?

Most rational argument from an opponent Ive had all day here, but c'mon, not up to conservative standards truly.

Tis my thread, Michelle Obama has no part in it no matter how or how often you wish to move the goalposts.

Need some of that good old forethought in planning to lock down with better precision your framing an OP. Good lesson this, but sorry, once a mistake is made its like a poorly drafted law, loopholes available... are legal.
