Does anyone really believe that Trump's fans will accept Mueller's findings?

Given the insane amount of kook aid I see Trump fans guzzling, the frantic "whataboutism", the constant parroting that there is no evidence of collusion, and worst of all the shouting about "this exhonrates Trump", with each bit of news, I don't think they will accept any finding that don't exhonerate their boy. I have little doubt, that if Mueller finds collusion, that they will have excuses, or claim it's a democrat frame job, or simply deny the facts.

How anyone could really argue that there hasn't been obstruction has gotten to the point of ridiculous. Trump and those around him have done nothing but try and hinder or discredit the special counsel's investigation from the get go. The fact of refusing to enact the sanctions, the constant appeasement of the Kremlin's interests, and the flat out refusal to do anything about election interference.

No. Already we have American people defending Putin and the Russians. Already we have people excusing and/or trying to diminish the seriousness of Russia's cyber attack on the United States, and the investigation isn't even complete.

Bottom line -- if real evidence of a crime (involving election collusion) was committed, I believe Mueller will indict. At that point, we will see something substantial. So far, the only indictments of Americans can been for unrelated charges and in the indictment of the Russians, Mueller specifically states that the Americans who were involved were "unwitting."

I'm happy to go by what Mueller and the Special Investigation finds -- and if any indictments are filed against Trump campaigners over the election issue, I'll look at those impartially.

But, until we have something like that -- we simply don't have anything like that.

The real questions is -- will liberals accept Mueller's conclusion if no indictments related to collusion are handed down to the Trump team?

That's the real question.

Some months ago I would have answered, "Of course not." However, I've seen an odd pattern forming even among trump supporters, in which they trash the respectability and trustworthiness of the Mueller investigation yet accept its findings anyway. Consider that in every one of the indictments and guilty pleas attained to date, Republicans accept the premises of those indictments even if their interpretations of them go a little out into left field.

So yes, I think they'll believe Mueller's findings, but that doesn't mean they'll agree that anything should be done as a result of them. Trump is a populist President. That's he's a bad human being is the point.

It all depends on the findings and the evidence.

The bigger question is, will you accept Mueller's findings if he says President Trump is clean?

Hell, there are Liberals that still think Bush 43 was AWOL from the air guard. They haven't accepted the reality that Dan Rather used fake documents.

I'll restate my position on this. If Mueller's investigation is concluded on his own terms, and if Rod Rosenstein isn't replaced with a trump toadie, then I'll accept findings by Mueller that Trump is clean within the scope of his investigation.

If, however, Mueller's investigation comes under the jurisdiction of a trump toadie, or if it is ended early as a result of outside forces, then I won't accept those findings.

If he finds something that incriminates Trump then many Trump supporters will call BS. If he finds nothing that incriminates Trump then many anti-Trumpers will call BS.

The only guarantee is that it will get nasty.

There are of course people who are looking to Mueller to deliver the result they want rather than the results that are true. There are, unfortunately, people like that on both sides of the aisle. Just as there are liberals who will forget the full trust they put in Mueller if he hands down an "all clean" verdict, Republicans will instantly forget the deep distrust they held for the man if he delivers that same finding.

It's a fair question. I think we've been conditioned to believe everything is nothing but a witch hunt, set up by the Democrats who are sore losers, and Trump, in spite of some very odd actions to the contrary, has no love lost for Russia. That's what we've been conditioned to think (by Trump). Only his most ardent fans already think it, in spite of the fact that it's pretty clear that Mueller's investigation isn't close to being over.

Did Trump himself collude with the Russians? Doubtful. Did some on his campaign (including his own son) do it? Likely. Has Trump been obstructing justice? Seems that way. Does Trump care at all that the Russians have been interfering in our democracy for years? No.

Time will tell.
