I suspect that Trump has been cozying up to Russians for many many years now and he looks at other businessmen who have been made rich by Putin and he wants a slice of that pie. I also suspect that he has done things in Russia - perhaps financial, perhaps personal, perhaps sexual as the dossier mentioned - that Trump has on him and would destroy him if it was revealed.

So Trump has been the defacto agent for Russia and their witting puppet. He indeed is what Hamilton said was the reason for the Electoral College in Federalist 68 when he said it would protect us from a foreign adversary placing a creature of their own in our highest office. It failed to do that.

And that foreign creature is Trump and his master is Putin and the Russians.

There is no other plausible explanation for his lack of action... his refusal to even criticize Putin or the Russians.... and his outright impotence in doing anything to stop them from doing this again.

Trump has simply assumed the whipped dog position and is now like Kevin Bacon in ANIMAL HOUSE getting paddled on the ass and asking "please sir, may I have another.? That is Trump today.

If anybody else has a plausible explanation, please do offer it.
