Now for something different from me. In your mind, conservatives, do you think in the near future someone better than Trump will come along? I only ask because it seems like Trump can do no wrong for you guys and based on all the "fake news," stories that have come out about him, I must say I do not think any other candidate will be able to match him in your eyes. So what say you?
 
I know some homeless folks a mile down the road that live under a bridge; any one of them would be better than Trump ...............

Please, conservatives used to say the same about George W. Bush till he was out of power.

I see the cycle, Fox News touts who ever is the current Republican President as the perfect uber conservative who can do no wrong, till he is out of power and his mistakes are laid bare, then he is declared a RINO and they move on to the next Republican President. As soon as Trump is out power, his base will turn on him and will go to the next flavor of the month.

I am sure Republicans can find another older, out of touch with reality, born rich, narcissistic, "morally sound christian," white guy, bedding his third wife... and claim it is a step up from Trump.

My boss once told me he would love to see Trump stay as dictator. I would say he's your typical Trump supporter no more or less crazy than any of the Trump supporters on here.

There are a lot of us old line conservatives that don't consider Trump a conservative at all. He is more of an egotistical, thin skinned opportunist who took an advantage of an 18 candidate field with the support of approximately 35% of the GOP. Even Trump supporters call him an populist, a nationalist or even a nativist. But hardly never a conservative.

A lot of conservatives support Trump only because he wasn't Hillary Clinton, he isn't, at least since 2013 a Democratic liberal, he is the lesser of two evils so to speak. Keep in mind there are many factions of conservatism. It isn't monolithic. A lot of conservatives just put up with him although they don't care for him one bit. Trump is better than the alternative.

A lot of conservatives, I classify my self as a more traditional, Goldwater type conservative. We much would rather have Pence as president than Trump and would shed no tears if Trump was forced to step down or resign. We would even give a sigh of relief.

I don't consider avid Trump supporters conservative either, they are loyal to the man and the man only. Not to conservative ideals. Whatever Trump does or says is fine with them. But not with true conservatives. remember, conservatives are now the new RINOs when it comes to Trump.

For me, almost anyone with traditional conservatives ideals would be better than Trump.

Better than Trump to what purpose is the better question. Since Republicans voted for Trump to punish the country for eight years of Obama, then it's reasonable to assume that nobody better than Trump will come along.

Now I understand California is moving it’s primary up to kill the competition in the crib so they don’t have to “do a Bernie” and get busted again. So just what kind of crack pot candidate do you expect California to boost. I shudder to think that “fines and jail for giving drinking straws to patrons”? Liberals will sweep that issue all the way into the White House, for sure.

Obama’s slicing and dicing of America leaves a Democrat party with no unifying principle.

They got big problems, just no one is talking about them.

Almost all of the Republicans would be better than Trump. Right now I'll say Devin Nunes wouldn't be, nor would Ron Johnson. But any of the rest for the most part, yes.

I want Huntsman or Kasich to primary this clown.

Once Trump is gone, Republicans will move onto another savior, and abandon Trump similar to the way they've basically abandoned Dubya, even though they defended him for 8 years. I suspect less than a decade from now, Most Trump voters will pretend they didn't even vote for him. Heck, many of his biggest supporters on this forum claim they didn't vote for him already.
