I did not think G W was a good president but I respect him as I do McCain and Romney. I cannot respect Trump and neither can the majority of the American people.

So why do you think Trumps approval rating is so low? It seems the economy has not effect on his popularity.

Don't put a lot of faith in polls but do know who the people who got full time jobs because of the Trump economy will be voting for as will the silent majority who are never polled. After the last election why do you still believe in polls?

Well, there is a lot of truth to that. While I was certainly no fan of Obama, he had class, maturity, respect and professionalism. Trump possesses none of those qualities and I say that as someone who support him and his agenda. His personal deficiencies are hampering his ability to get things done. If it were possible to meld Trump and Romney, you would have an unbeatable force as president.

There's not much he can do in regards to the real spending. That's up to Congress. But he can deal with Executive Branch spending and government employees.

Every little bit helps.

Romney would have no desire to advance an agenda even remotely similar to Trump's.

Doesn't matter, the electoral college elects the President but Trump lost the popular vote by 2.8 million and lost California by 4.0 million votes so you want California to elect the President? The election is over, you lost get over it

Typical reply when confronted with the truth. Like I said the economy is rolling along but this president has the lowest approval ratings ever. That’s my point. Usual when the economy is good the president is well liked. This is not happening. Why?

Umm, you do know that the President can Veto any Bill that comes his way, and he himself is pushing more spending, or have you missed that?

If Congress passed a good budget bill without funding for a full border wall, would he Veto it? You have to have an opinion? Or you just waiting for him to act to know what he really wants?

I don't like to speculate...especially when you want me to speculate on something like this. I guess all I can say is maybe he will...maybe he won't.

In any case, this hypthetical of yours has no relevance to my desire for less government spending.
