Federal employees overwhelmingly believe President Trump does not respect them, according to a new survey, and a plurality think he has negatively affected their agencies’ missions. Overall, 59 percent of federal employees disapprove of how Trump is handling his job as president after his first year in office, while 38 percent approve, according to a Government Business Council and GovExec.com survey. His disapproval is slightly higher among federal workers as measured by GBC than in the average of polls among the American public writ large, and his numbers among feds have dipped slightly since May from a GBC poll conducted after Trump’s first 100 days in office. Just 28 percent of federal employees believe Trump respects them, while 58 percent think he does not, the GBC survey found.

Respondents generally felt Trump was having a negative impact on their agencies’ missions, with 43 percent expressing that view. Only one in four feds said Trump has had a positive impact, while about one in three said he has not made any impact. One federal employee, given anonymity to allow honest answers to the survey, said Trump is breeding a contemptuous workforce. “A negative and demeaning attitude towards federal employees creates negative and demeaning employees,” the respondent said. One in five federal employees indicated they would leave federal service because of Trump, a majority of whom are retirement eligible but will separate earlier than they had previously planned. Three in 10 respondents said they would leave the government within two years.

Good. They can move aside and let some new blood in who will do their jobs with a smile, happy to earn their solid gold benefits few in the private sector will ever see.
 
Yep, cutting federal tax revenue does not bode well for keeping a massive number of federal employees happily warming their chairs until retirement. Along a similar line: Kids that have had their allowances cut have shown a lower approval rating of their parents.

Sounds good to me. But I hope that one in five don't wait too long. The sooner we reduce government spending the better.

Trump has a negative effect on almost everything or anyone that criticizes him or he does not agree with. He is having a negative effect on the entire country except for the 36% who ignore it.

I’m in no way prudish, but what this man stands for when it comes to honesty, morality and decency goes beyond anything we have ever seen in a president including what Clinton did. He has been notorious for his behavior most of his adult life but the 37% do not care. And as the economy gets better his approval does not.

You people destroyed GW Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney and are trying to destroy Trump, the problem is actual results don't support your point of view and I quite frankly am happy that we have a President no longer accepting being a punching bag.
