Big news out of Wisconsin that could well confirm the big blue tsunami that will hit later this year as Dems take back GOP held seats across the land just as they recently did in several other states.

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/patty-schactner-wins_us_5a5ec4e2e4b096ecfca88c03

Democrat Patty Schachtner won a special election for a state Senate seat in Wisconsin on Tuesday, scoring a huge upset victory for her party in a district that President Donald Trump handily captured just over a year ago.

It was the latest in a string of election victories for Democrats since Trump took office, and a sign of hope for the party that the energy from the base and frustration with the president could lead to more wins in November.

With every precinct counted, The Washington Post reported that Schachtner, the chief medical examiner for St. Croix County, won by 9 percentage points.

Republican Sheila Harsdorf had held the seat since 2001, but she left in November to become Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s agriculture secretary. In 2016, Harsdorf won re-election by 26 percentage points, and Trump beat Democratic rival Hillary Clinton by 17 points. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney won the district in 2012.

Those numbers are a major Democratic turn around.
Of course, if Trump can convince the majority that he actually said SH**HOUSE instead of SH**HOLE, maybe the GOP can keep their majorities? :doh:roll:

You do realize Haymarket that it is natural for the DNC to take back seats that are currently GOP? Just as the GOP took seats that were once DNC seats. That is how its been happening for a very long time now. No one Party has held the seats they get indefinitely. That's why I laugh at people that bring up things like this as if it actually means something or attempt to say that "X party is dying out and will never get seats again". IE: This is natural. No big deal. This political cycle DNC will get seats. Next political cycle GOP will take back those seats. Rinse, Repeat.

All anyone has to do in this part of the country is to look at Detroit and several other cities in that area the Democrats destroyed with years of left wing and union control.

Once you understand the ****hole they left in this part of the country, Why anyone would vote Democrat is just plain STUPID.

Michigan is a **** hole of epic proportions. Wisconsin, not far behind...

You are whistling past the graveyard.

Yes, the Dems will take back seats in November. That does NOT mean that the GOP will take back seats any time soon after that. It took 17 years for this Wisconsin Senate seat to flip. It took a very long time for that Alabama US Senate seat to flip back to the Dems. And in the meantime the Republicans - with Trump as their general out at the head of the parade - will continue to slide ever downwards toward irrelevancy as demographics determine destiny.

How long have you lived in Michigan?

Whatever, you keep believing whatever it is you want to think. I'll keep laughing.

I hope you laugh even louder as the GOP keeps losing what were safe seats. In fact, I will join you in laughing about that.

You guys really need to get some new material.

Wow words of wisdom here.... :lamo

Nothing about the topic, just a random pot shot...

Dude, I’ve been shooting down the same stupid arguments you present every day for damn near 20 years. Don’t act surprised when people eventually just dismiss them.

Better question, who would want to? Unless you live in a rural area, Michigan is a **** hole for sure.

So you have never lived in Michigan. How much time have you spent in the state over the years and which part did you spend it in ?

I go there more than you might think, several times in a year. In 2 weeks I will be in the UP, as I do each year.

Pure stock racing in the summer at Stanton Michigan. So ya, I know your state. Never would live in Detroit or Flint or so many other cities that suffered through decades of Democrats and labor unions that have decimated your states lake side cities....

What evidence do you have that labor unions have decimated Michigan?

Same to you and all those like yourself Dude....

Your dismissed as well by many here I see...

What evidence do you have that labor unions have decimated Michigan?

DETROIT IS ONE FINE EXAMPLE :2wave:

Oh but in your small little mind it was 2 white mayors in the 50's who took it down... :lamo

But you will stick to that lie.

"whataboutism" is not a valid argument, comrade.

Seems to b working here however!

No, actually it doesn't. You made a comment about a different state than the one in the OP, for no other reason than to hear yourself make a "potshot"

As Kobie said, get some new material, focus on the subject in the OP.

You guys really need to get some new material.

It's so pathetic, they think they are being smart and clever and its just the same idiotic and unoriginal postings from the lot of them. No wonder why they are so angry all the time. I'd be too being that clueless

That Alabama seat didn't "flip". The Republican candidate was accused of sexual misconduct. The Democrat victory had nothing to do with a preference to the Liberal agenda.

You don't know much about Wisconsin do you?

The republicans have tried to rape and pillage the state since taking control and gerrymandering the districts so unfairly that the supreme court is ruling on repealing. It as we speak.

A democrat taking a republican seat in this state is actually pretty big considering how all republican seats were gerrymandered to be safe.

I ask again since you made the claim and you have refused to provide information... What evidence do you have that labor unions have decimated Michigan?

Yes - that seat did flip as it was held by a Republican and turned into a Democratic seat. That is what we mean when we say a seat has flipped.

And that is the gops problem right there they keep backing sexual predictors and have motivated the female population like never before.

Putting the traitor/admitted sexual predator tump in tbe white house is going to lead to a ppwer transfer that may never be reversed.
