It’s a candy crush.
House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy says he used Starburst candies to sweeten his relationship with the President.
The California Republican cozied up to Trump after noticing he only liked cherry and strawberry flavored Starbursts, the Washington Post reported Monday.
McCarthy first spotted the President’s preference during an early October flight on Air Force One.
“We’re there, having a little dessert, and he offers me some,” he told the Post. “Just the red and the pink. A bit later, a couple of his aides saw me with those colors and told me, ‘Those are the president’s favorites.’”
So the top-ranking Republican had a staffer sort through a batch of the candies, putting just the cherry and strawberry ones in a jar for the President with McCarthy’s name on it, the paper reported.
The Starbursts incident was reportedly part of McCarthy’s effort to foster a relationship with Trump, who’s sometimes clashed with members of his own party in Congress.

Of course, the line of GOP Congressmen who act as Trump apologists and toadies is not limited to McCarthy as Senators Cotton and Perdue jumped ahead of him this week.

So what? I do that for my friends all the time. Not picking out red/pink Starbursts but just being mindful of what they like. It's called human empathy, something completely lacking among the left nowadays.

Wow - you think that the left's unhealthy obsession with criticizing everything and everyone related to President Trump would eventually jump the shark and abate until the run up to the 2020 election, but no, now they need to criticize a man for noticing what the President happens to like and then using that to foster a better relationship with the man. Clearly, most people on the left are clueless when it comes to the inherent dignity and decency of thinking about providing for another person rather than what another person can provide for them.

Imagine how shallow a life a person must have to consider taking the time to write such an article - but then such a shallow person would know his target audience.

I appreciate how selfish and self-centered those on the left can be, but certainly some of you should be able to recognize that a simple act of thoughtfulness can be just that, thoughtfulness. Not ever person is a mercenary as the average leftist. If they were, no good deed would ever be done.

LOL, that's funny, nothing epitomizes lack of empathy than conservatism. I got mine, the hell with everybody else. I live in my little white bubble and these things don't effect me so I don't care, up until they affect me. Why should those people get assistance, but as soon as it effects them "people need to do something for us".

Meanwhile, liberals fighting for gay marriage, women's rights, assistance and job training for the poor, better worker wages, against discrimination, and for most liberals, all done for other people, because they actually have empathy. How many liberals are not poor, not gay, not a woman, have a good paying job, are white, yet they fight for other people, that's empathy. What a joke right wingers are, seriously

Actually McCarthy has sown with his Candy Crush sycophant behavior that no rational person who understands the reality of the situation can use the word DIGNITY and Candy Crush McCarthy in the same expression of thought. Of course you can use it - but not aptly.
