Jeff Flake is Running for President

And he will fail, spectacularly. It's OK, though...the guy I like probably won't win either. I don't know if it would be a good deal for anyone to actually run and win against Trump in the primaries. I think the momentum is shifting too much the other way and no matter who wins are going to be looked at with Trump-colored glasses.

Hell, your hero Rand Paul got his ass handed to him in the primaries by a Reality T.V. Star birther. He, nor his father, or anyone in that family for that matter will NEVER see the presidency.

You people consider anyone who doesn't bow down to Trump, or adhere to some Trumpian right wing agenda as a "liberal". GOP voters like yourself are the last people who should be lecturing ANYONE on who a moderate is.

And the Dems don't need a moderate to defeat Trump. In fact, putting forth a moderate will do nothing but actually piss off a significant portion of their own base.

Oh...so that means I should support a dirtbag that has a better chance of winning, eh? Sorry, but I'll stick to principle, even if it doesn't always win.

I won't argue other wise. There's a reason why I abstained from voting in the 2016 election (when it came to the choice of president). Didn't like any of the choices, including the third party candidates.

Nope, sorry, Booker isn't a moderate and he wasn't a moderate a long time before Trump was around, the two have nothing to do with each other.

Yeah, Johnson sucked for the LP. He just seemed like all he cares about is being a stoner. Still voted for him because I wanted another party to have a shot at getting enough votes as there are certain federal funding programs and such that a party qualifies for if they get like 5% or something. I can't remember. Maybe it was 15%.

And? Trump isn't a conservative, has never been a conservative, and never will be a conservative. Yet, millions of self proclaimed "conservatives" voted for him in the primaries, and general election. Whether Booker is a moderate or not is irrelevant, because the Dems don't have to nominate a moderate to defeat a vulnerable incumbent president like Donald Trump, assuming he's even president in 2020, or that he even runs again.

Trump is a conservative, just a really unprofessional one.

Booker doesn't support moderate policy. Trump supported Conservative policy and is trying to pass it. Make of that what you will.

the standard GOP definition for "moderate" is not how the rest of the world sees it.
