What happened to the tea party?

Remember when they were bitching about deficits. Now the gop adds 1.5 trillion to the deficit and none of them care.

At the time, many claimed their primal scream was more about racial animus than fiscal conservatism.

Turns out they were right!

Tea Party dissolved when the racists all came out of the closet and started calling themselves Trump supporters.

Sorry...but all of the racist are in the democrat party....just as they always have been. And the Tea Party has not dissolved.

In your dreams, along with all the other imaginary wage increases from all the other tax cuts. The CEO's have even said they're not going to increase wages and hiring because of the tax cut.

Which CEO's..... there are thousands of CEO's.

Right, that's why Blacks vote 90% Democrat nowadays....because they like racists.

Do you ever, for even one second, think before posting garbage?

There was a time when democrats had racists but they left and became republicans after the party swung left. Strom thurmond and jesse helms are good examples.

Is that the best you can do? How does that disprove what i pointed out. When democrats refer to a black tea party advocate as a "token", "strawberry", "uncle tom", oreo, etc, that is an act of racism. It would not matter if blacks voted 99% democrat. A racist act is a racist act. Democrats simply do not like the idea of a black leaving the democrat party plantation.

Blacks know racism when they see it. Hence, very few vote Republican. Duh.

After you rest for a while and compose yourself, perhaps you can answer the question if you get over your abject fear of doing so..... are there tokens?

And think about this - when a person uses the word TOKEN to describe a minority like I did - do you understand that it is NOT necessarily an indictment of the person of color but of the larger political movement attempting to use that person as a dishonest display of their supposed diversity that in reality does not exist because the person of color is such a very tiny segment of that movement?

I googled "what is a token minority?" And got this

I would offer that it also applies to movements and groups using a minority to add the pretense of diversity to an otherwise homogeneous set of people.

Now I bet that blows your mind.... as well as your entire silly attempt to make this about me rather than the topic being discussed.

You are cornered yet again and you are attempting to spin your way out of it just like you did in regards to term limits. The manner in which you used the word "token" was blatantly racist. I know what a token minority is in regards to your above example, however that does not apply to the black woman in the video I posted. She was not chose by the Tea party or some Hollywood producer to play a tv game show or fill a quota in a movie script. She is a tea partier by her own choice and desire. yet you immediately assumed she was a token black.

Some know racism when they see it. Colin Powell knew it was racist when democrats referred to him as an "uncle tom", Condolezza Rice knew it was racism when she was referred to as an Aunt Jemima. A black man running for the Senate during the Bush administration knew it was racism when democrat activists tossed Oreo cookies at him. Point is, if all you can come back with is most blacks vote democrat, you have no intelligent argument. Racism is racism, regardless of how many blacks vote democrats.Perhaps the democrat party racism against blacks is fear based. They lose sleep at night at the mere prospect of losing even a percentage of the minority vote as that is all they have going for them. It was actually 88% of the blacks who voted in 2016 that voted for Hillary. In 2020, that number for democrats may be even lower as after just one year under the Trump administration, black unemployment is now at a 15 year low.

Moore is a Republican, and we all know he is racist as hell. And, of course, your racist president--he of the Haitians have AIDS and Nigerians live in huts---let's not forget him. Tea party went full on out of the closet racist.

Tea Party dissolved when the racists all came out of the closet and started calling themselves Trump supporters.

The suggestion that the Tea party has dissolved is nothing more then a left wing fantasy. The tea party did not go away. They are still quite active in the lead up to every election.

Yes, actively racist. We saw one run over a young lady in Charlottesville last summer.

You are making it up as you go along. That was a white supremist, not a tea partier. I know what you are trying to do, however it's making you look like one of the less able libruls.

You really have absolutely no debate skills. I provided you with evidence as to the meaning of the word TOKEN as used by me. But you ignored that in favor of your continued personal attacks because you see me as a political enemy of the right wing here and it is important for you to try and obtain some credibility in the eyes of your fellow righties.

Lets look at some verifiable evidence as to who is in the tea party and if African Americans are used as TOKENS as I defined earlier.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tea-party-supporters-who-they-are-and-what-they-believe/

CBS News and the New York Times surveyed 1,580 adults, including 881 self-identified Tea Party supporters, to get a snapshot of the Tea Party movement. There is a lot of information to unpack; let's begin with the demographics.

Eighteen percent of Americans identify as Tea Party supporters. The vast majority of them -- 89 percent -- are white. Just one percent is black.

Those numbers perfectly support my use of the term as earlier defined.

A Token Minority is a concept in games, television, movies, and books wherein a single character of a different ethnicity is added to a cast of characters who all share the same--or very similar--ethnic background. It's often used to add the pretense of diversity to an otherwise homogeneous set of characters.

Right wing groups - who in large part have a sizable contingent of racists in them, absolutely love it when they can use a TOKEN to deflect from a charge of racism or their group is composed of racists. And that is why they use TOKENS in the first place.

No matter how much you attempt to squirm out with alternate hypothetical scenarios, you still used the term "token" in a racist manner. it's not the word. It is how you use it. Cornered again.

Is there some disability you are impaired with that prevents you from speaking to the actual arguments I made with evidence to support them?

The reality is that when a right wing zealot such as Sean Hannity has on his TV show African Americans who are tea party types, he does so to use them as tokens as to provide convenient cover to own racism and that of other tea party whites under their cloak. And you showed us that on page three of this thread with the Hannity clip. When 1% of members are African American and you go to lengths to find some and put them on TV to negate the charge that your movement is racist - that is the essence of using these people as TOKENS.

Grow up and debate for once. Stop with your personal nonsense against a perceived enemy and try speaking to the arguments and the EVIDENCE I offered. That is what debate is about and you have not come close to even attempting it once in this entire discussion.

You are making up crap as you go along making personal attacks and refusing to debate the evidence I have presented. That is what you are doing.

Sorry, haymarket. Providing general definitions and actual examples of non-racist use of the term token off the internet does not change the fact that you used the term in a racist manner. I pointed out the difference between the examples you posted and how you used the term. Your immediate response to my posting a video of a black tea party leader was to use the term "token" to describe her. Perhaps you will think about what you are posting before you get yourself cornered again on the issue in the future.

Tea Party's work if any is done.
The Demos are out and rightfully so Donald Trump is in.

Ah, so the tea party's goal was get another Republican elected and treat him like a almost infallible strong man leader, where it is unpatriotic to even question him, just like the conservative base did with Bush.

Big government is okay as long as the chosen Republican leader does and individuality is engaging in group think and dismissing all criticism of him. Its what they did with Bush and its what are doing with Trump, this small government tea party stuff is a sham.
