Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, told police her son was "freaking out" and on some type of medication
Todd Palin said he told Track Palin not to come but that his son said he would come anyway to beat him up. Todd Palin told police he got his pistol “to protect his family.”

Track Palin told police he broke a window, disarmed his father and put him on the ground.

LaPointe wrote that Todd Palin and Sarah Palin had left the home when police arrived and that Sarah Palin was visibly upset.

The hits just keep coming.

I won't kick a man too hard when he's down. Hell, I figure I must be adopted cause I can't be in the same house with most of my family without the sh** hitting the fan.
But really, Sarah, stop claiming the high road. You are on the same road as everybody else. Seems like everybody has to take a bite of the poop sandwich once and a while, and it's your kid's turn. You do realize it's your fault he gets a few extra turns don't you?
Yeah well. Sorry you got to get the bad press but better you than me. Guess that's why I don't run for Governor or something.

This is a private family matter.

No need to gain pleasure in other's people's troubles.

And yet the Palins keep having violence problems. Why is that?

What is it with Republicans trying to put trashy families in the White House? I guess the base feels well represented.

The idea that a veteran could be prone to violence after his service, though, is hardly a stretch. He did his time in Afghanistan. Those who return from combat have double the violence problems as do citizens who have not served. We saw that after WWI, WWII, SE Asia and now the mideast and Afghanistan. Much higher ratios of domestic violence, violence against others and suicide, and that is among those not diagnosed as suffering from PTSD. On the other hand, his sister's problem were in response to domestic abuse. Not making excuses for either of them, but this portion of their realities should be considered before rushing to judgment. Life gets complicated.

Barney Frank, Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Al “coo-chi-coo” Franklin, Joe “hands on” Biden. And that just the ones you voted in.

You have no room to talk.

I guess I can see now how guns are valuable in situations like this. Glad Todd was not shot with his own weapon.

Sarah Palin has courted media attention for quite some time now....the pit bull with lipstick as she called herself....who called out Obama as a terrorist, and the media as lame stream...Karma always comes back and bites your ass Sarah. Hard lesson to learn.

Hope her children get the help they desperately need before anyone gets even more seriously injured.

They made it public when they blamed Obama for their son's PTSD.

Ok.....that was when Obama was in office. Bad form. Not what was right for her family to be certain.

Now that Trump has been in office for almost a year with a Republican majority if she blames Trump.

But dear Sarah, your son went into the military BECAUSE he was having problems. When you ran for VP and he was put in the limelight......that did not make things better for him.

Hopefully now she will STHU and handle this privately.

When were Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy, and Al "Franklin" (who is that, anyway - I don't know any Al Franklins) sent to the White House?

Almost two years ago, she was speaking of PTSD, and how it personally affected her family. She was already on top of it.

She didn't blame Obama for the PTSD. She blamed him for his disregard of the military in general.

I remember after the first incident with Track, Palin blamed Obama for not doing enough for the PTSD of our soldiers.

Deflector shields set to maximum, captain!

So does the schadenfreude.

To be fair, the right engaged in a never before seen episode of bukake in the faces of the left after the election, it's going to take a long time to get over that. Schadenfreude has become a way of life in America, sadly. Plus, there's always a certain pleasure in seeing those that claim superiority because of their self proclaimed exclusive rights to the high road crash. Hopefully this made-for-Jerry-Springer family learns a lesson about humility. Unlikely, but hopefully.
