To the great people of Alabama,
You now face a decision like to my knowledge no other single state has ever faced. That decision requires you to decide what is real and what is not. There is not one Roy Moore signatures out there, there are two from two different women who each claim to have received those signatures from Roy Moore personally. Because one women added a date to her year book where Roy Moore allegedly signed some would like you to believe that the signature is a fraud. Perhaps that might be fair for you to consider. But it would also be fair for you to compare the two signatures that each women has offered for yourself. See for yourself if the two are a match or not. There is one hand writing expert retired from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation who states that the two signatures are a match. I would also say that it is fair to ask yourself why would two women have his signature to begin with?

If you can honestly say that the two signatures don't match, then maybe you should have no problem voting in this election feeling sure that the candidate you choose is at least a decent human being. But if you can't honestly look at both signatures and say they are not a match, then you must ,if you care about America, if you love your daughters, and if you want to be proud of what of have done in the name of your state, then you can not vote for the candidate who you now have doubts about his past.

Another one...thread #762538467253 on the same subject

Moore will win, and then the senate can investigate him

If there is truly something there, he will be made to resign and the governor can replace him with another republican

Similar to Franken, right?

No worries...the senate seat is still safely red

Or is that your problem?

I would like to believe that one thing Alabama doesn’t want is the the federal government deciding for or telling them what to do. Additionally I believe Alabama values her children and her honor more than politics. Franken, Franks and Conyers resigned and Alabama should do no less than keeping Moore out of the Senate.

Moore will win....Vegas thinks it is a shoo in now

After he takes the seat, a senate investigation can proceed

All the girls can restify under oath, the yearbooks can be brought in and looked at by experts, and the senator himself will have to explain the evidence

If the senate deems it, they will remove him...at least he gets his hearing that way

And the girls all get their “ day in court” as it is

Not exactly a trial but close enough considering most of this took place 40 years ago

And if he is removed, as I believe he will be, the governor can appoint a new senator

All good

You are missing the point. The voters in Alabama do not have a "let the governor name an alternate" option on the ballot. The closest thing to that is to elect a flawed candidate, have them forced to resign and then replaced by their governor. To suggest that voting for the candidate offered by the opposition party is some moral mandate is absurd.

Moore does not impress me as a man who can be forced to resign.

Nonsense. He impresses me as exactly the kind of man that will be forced to resign. Aside from his alleged questionable dating choices he is a moron and a bigot who professed that America was greater when slavery was in effect.

Just because all of these other guys put their tail between their legs and walk away when told to does not mean this guy will. If the people of Alabama send him and the Senate wants him gone then I suspect that they will need to throw him out.

He didn't really say that. The topic was family unity in America and he said we were great (talking about family unity) during the slavery period even though we had slavery.

Dishonest folks love twisting words, but no one their right mind can deny what he meant if they listen to the whole thing in context.

I doubt he will ever resign -- he's not the sort -- but if accusations against him can be proved, he could be expelled.

Yes, we all get you care more about keeping the seat red than the GOP electing a child molester.

Yep, slavery was sure good at preserving family unity. Try a quick search for "slave familes separtated".

What a bunch of histrionic malarkey.

In reality, accusations against Moore have either been debunked (by the mall supervisor who was said to have told workers to watch out for Moore) or found to be fraudulent.

And, the one thing you're completely ignoring is the integrity (or lack thereof) of Moore's opponent -- Doug Jones.

Jones' claims against Moore have been found by Politifact to be "very misleading" and they rate them as "Mostly Untrue" so we have Moore running against a proven liar.

So, what's an honest voter to do? Vote for a man whose accusers are being disproven? Or, vote for a man who has been proven a liar?

Here is what will likely happen. Moore will win the election. Alabama has no intention of sending a liberal to the senate. McConennell recently said...it's up to the Alabama voters to decide who they send to the Senate. The women who have accused Moore of sexual harrassment will either continue to push their case, or they will crawl back into the woodwork after the election as did Trump's accusers. If they crawl back into the woodwork, then it was all ginned up by the Washington Post. If the women continue to push their claims, it will come down to both an ethics probe and court cases, where these women will have to testify under oath, as will Moore. If it turns out that any of the accusations are true, then he might be expelled....at which time the Alabama governor, a republican, will appoint a republican to fill the seat until the next election.
