Here is a man who has lost his son in combat.

Here is a man who isn't likely to be order out onto the podium to give the following presentation, I mean who could order him to do this? No, this is from Kelly's own heart and own experience.

Here is a man who clearly speaks from his own heart.

So what are we to take from this?

I have a few points that I've taken from this.
  • Trump was advised to not make the phone call to killed service member's families
  • Trump was told that these phone calls are never easy, and it appears they really aren't
  • Trump decided against advice to do so anyway, moved by his character to do so (what other motivation can you provide that he would?)
  • These phone calls are difficult, and clearly, can go wrong (depends on how its received)
  • Trump made the decision to make the call anyway, so moved he must have been to do so
  • Trump's, and Kelly's motivations on this are clearly genuine, not manufactured by some political spin machine (not so for the leftists response, apparently)
It doesn't matter how the phone call worked out, it matters more so that the effort and decision was made to make that most difficult phone call, regardless of potential expense or potential political repercussions. I think that's called genuine and honesty.

It doesn't matter how the phone call worked out, it matters more that Trump was moved enough to make the phone call, to express his and the nations condolences to a deceased service member's family at a time of their greatest loss.

This, I think, is far more an insight into Trump's character than all the malalignment that the leftists and the 'news' (political propaganda) media are portraying him on a continual basis.

Clearly, it would appear that we have a very empathetic president here, specific to the situation and context.

This presentation from Kelly provides a glimpse into the inner workings of this administration and the values of this president, both of which speak far more than any of the malalignment from the bull**** 'fake news' media.

The political left should hang their heads in shame at the politicization of this instance and this situation. I find it rather disgusting of them to do so.

How low is it possible for them to go? It seems that the left has no bounds as to how low they'll go. Why am I not surprised? From those who proudly claim 'by any means necessary' ? Clearly their 'necessity' has no bounds of decency either.

Honest emotion and real empathy appears to be beyond them.

Trump only made the call after he got hammered for not calling and claiming that Bush and Obama didn't call. So there is a clear possible political motive.

I would disagree, but you are free to believe what you will.

It’s true trump waited and only did it after being hammered about it but then trumpbots make excuses for their false god trump.

3rd'd.

Trump only called after he was outed for making false claims that seem even more absurd in light of his own calling history.

Trump politicized this. If Trump would have just kept his big mouth shut, this wouldn't be a news story. But, Trump can't help but tell lies. I think it's compulsive and pathological for him.

Which proves that the AT's are going to whine, no matter what.

Trump politicized this, then made it worse with his comments. He blamed other presidents for not making these type of calls, which is a bold face lie and an obvious attempt by him to politicize this mess.

But it's the 'lefts' fault?!? lol

Typical Conservative tactic. Never defend, always attack. They don't defend Trump, they attack and blame the left.

Trump is the personification of America's geopolitical karma and arrogant, paranoid delusional attitudes...

Which proves that the AT's are going to whine, no matter what.

And proves that the Trump worshippers will continue to bury their heads up Trump's ass to keep from saying ANYTHING negative about Trump.

Genuine honesty would be recognizing that the it DOES matter how the phone call worked out, especially how the pregnant grieving wife took it. I know this is hard for Trump and Trump supporters to understand but these calls are NOT about him, they are about the family that lost their loved ones. Trump decided to politicize this and make it about HIM again.

That is low no matter how you look at it if one were REALLY being genuinely honest.

As long as there's no substance to the complaints, I will continue to point out that is no substance to the complaints.

You people might want to stop and notice that you haven't been right, about anything, yet.

Ding ding ding.

Trump brought up the phone calls and the letters. He started this conversation. He brought up Kelly's son. This isn't the media's fault.

There is substance to the complaint, it is about the grieving wife, not Trump. Yet Trump is politicizing this to be about HIM, hence his lying comments about past presidents not contacting grieving families. So yet again YOU prove my point.

So for some anti-Trumpers he was hammered for not calling and for the same anti-Trumpers he was hammered for calling.
Sounds like those anti-Trumpers have their heads buried somewhere ... up the anti-Trumper Urban cowgirl's ass perhaps?
I call yuck on the visual of the whole head-up-the-ass trope.

I don't think we've heard from the wife yet.
The mother, yes, and she and the Urban Cowgirl are friends apparently.
But maybe the wife would rather have the whole thing go away.

Nope no anti-trumpers were against his calling. They were against what he SAID during that call. I know that distinction is hard for Trump supporters to understand. It requires thought above a third grade level which is way too hard for them.

I bet you still don't know what he said ... do you?

Doesn't change the fact that he lied about what he even said (which even Kelly confirmed) and then went on an attack spree against the senator. Also I might add, he made this whole thing politicized in the first place by making absurd claims that past presidents don't contact grieving families and only he does. Again, you can defend the liar in chief all you want, he proves he is not fit to be president.

Oh yes I do ... what was the sentence in questiion?

Do you have google? I suggest you use it. It's been stated in others threads plenty of time. Don't worry, you shouldn't be scared, I know actually looking at the topic is hard for Trump supporters to do.

You don't have any idea, do you. You're just repeating something to fall in line.

I do, you don't. You're just repeating something to try and troll with.
