Trump told slain soldier's widow that he "knew what he was getting into," Congresswoman says

Re: Trump told slain soldier's widow that he "knew what he was getting into," Congresswoman says

Hi Schmuck from Cajun country: Howdy. I'm a schmuck from New York. How does a Cajun know the word Schmuch?
I would like to make some points about this sad issue but you took them all. Thanks for being so eloquent.
My dad is from Yonkers. Mom's family is as Cajun as andouille.

Thanks for the kind words.

Oh! Humanity is so beautifully mixed. I'm English, French, Germany and Mohawk. My wife is Polish, Russian and her family practices Judaism. Wish all people would one day realize the beauty in all of humanity. It was very sad to hear General Kelly call the congress women an empty barrow. He said I thought"Who is this empty barrow?" Who is this show that he didn't know her, yet he judged her her. Prejudice=Prejudge. I used to have a lot of respect for him.
Take care,
Richard

It was just half quoted so it sounds worse. What he supposedly said was: “he knew what he signed up for... but when it happens it hurts anyway.” Checking on different sites, only a couple have the whole quote. I really dislike when the media does that.

If you listen to what General Kelly said he told Trump to say, the statement that the congress women said was Trump's statement to the widow wasn't that different. I agree there was no reason or no apparent intent in that statement to disrespect the family. Yet Trump denies saying it. A diplomatic response would be to say I will apologize and express my sorrow for her loss. The problem would have been resolved then and there.
But Trump made it worse by fighting with grieving people over something that shouldn't have more than one or two days news cycle. We need a diplomatic president not one who fights with grieving families. And General Kelly calling the congress women an "Empty Barrow" is very telling about him. He said "I thought to myself, Who is this empty barrow." Who is shows he didn't know her, yet he judged he to be an empty barrow. Why because she claimed that she helped to raise money for the F.B.I office. PREJUDGE= Prejudice. That is the definition. I used to have a lot of respect for General Kelly. But he told us who he is in that one statement.:(:(

I heard that whole quote by all major networks. No one left anything out as far as I am aware. But Trump denied saying that. He called the Congress women a liar for what you just quoted him as saying. Yet if you listen to what General Kelly said he told Trump to say, it's very close to what the congress women said that Trump actually said. It's not not per word but the intent is similar. Again I will say that there is nothing disrespectful in what the congress women said that Trump said. It may not have been as heart felt as one might like but it wasn't disrespectful in my opinion. But Trump made things worse by denying it and calling the congress women a liar. He should have made another call and express his sorrow for her loss and say he was sorry for causing any further pain. You don't argue with people who are in grief even if you think you are right. Trump showed his lack of diplomatic skills in a huge way by arguing this point. And Kelly joined in. Kelly made it worse by saying about the congress women, "who is the empty barrow." The fact that he asked who is this, shows he didn't know her before hand. Then calling her an empty barrow is judging. Judging her before knowing her is prejudging. Prejudging is also called prejudice. This whole affair is ugly and Trump made it that way by lying as usual.
