A savvier commissioner would have reminded Kaepernick that he is being paid millions to wear the logo of the NFL, and the league does not permit players to use its brand to flaunt their personal politics. Instead, Roger Goodell permitted the pregame ceremonies to become the focus of intense political scrutiny, as the media lined up to catalog whether players stood, sat or knelt during the national anthem.

I'm sure Colin's parents raised him with the intention of having him become an NFL quarterback so that he could kill the sport by protesting racism and brutality.

If the NFL dies it's because it's a ****ty sport with an awful league management who's been bleeding viewers for years. It's easy to blame the kneeling black man for their inadequacies. "I loved football and watched it for decades, but then a negro kneeled before a game and now IT'S RUINED FOREVER!"

Many of the NFL owners are Conservatives and Republican Many owners donated to Trump's campaign, some even held fund raisers for Romney in 2012 and Trump is 2016. As a thank you for his support Trump appointed The owner of the Jets, Woody Johnston as Ambassador of the UK.

Goodell was hired, and can be fired ONLY by those owners. He works for the owners, and only the owners.

But the NFL and Goodell are leftist? lol...lol...lol

Conservatives will believe anything, then make fools of themselves, and STILL refuse to do any homework to find out the truth. Are they gullible, or just lazy?

Nobody is protesting the player's right to free speech. The frustration is with their method and their decision to portray the nation as a whole as oppressive.

No? Aren't you and others claiming they should be fired or suspended form playing because they do not protest "your way"....correct? How come only those opposed to these players' protest are ALLOWED to freely exercise their rights?

The means and the message are part of the speech. To boycott the means and the message means by default you are against that speech (free)

Good for you! But if you look around social media sites and other places where many are vocalizing their anger - they are demanding these players be fired or forced to stand. While I personally feel their method of protest "is" disrespectful I fully support their RIGHT to do so.
