Roll Left and Die

Good for you! But if you look around social media sites and other places where many are vocalizing their anger - they are demanding these players be fired or forced to stand. While I personally feel their method of protest "is" disrespectful I fully support their RIGHT to do so.

I didn't say I wasn't angry. But, it's my right to be angry.

So, only Right wingers are offended by the kneelatards disrespecting the flag?

What the hell's that even mean? :lamo

Kill football.

Do it.

Do it now.

Kill it until it dies.

That'll teach 'em...

Is someone denying your right to be angry?

Nope. Never that, neither.

What I am seeing, is the Left getting it's collective panties in a knot over it. Calling us racists, etc.

Nobody is protesting the player's right to free speech. The frustration is with their method and their decision to portray the nation as a whole as oppressive.

At the end of the day it kind of is. It's about silencing dissent. The people getting upset don't like what the protest is about. If a player took a knee because they wanted their taxes lowered and open carry, most of the people upset about this would cheer him.

I never called you or anyone a racist so please refrain from quoting me in the future to push some agenda back on me when nothing in anything I posted on this thread or other threads would remotely indicate that I think you or anyone protesting or boycotting this NFL crap is a racist.

Exactly.

Which doesnt address the anemic attendance at Chargers games, Rams Home Games, the Browns games, etc. At the very least, it aint healthy.

So now dissenting is silencing dissent? :lamo

The accusation has been made.

It's the venue and the fact that the protest is done during the national anthem that is annoying. Nobody is protesting the player's right to protest. Like I said before we're annoyed at when the protest is taking place and the fact that the protest targets America as a whole.

They have a phrase for this:

Cutting your nose off to spite your face.

(The chargers don't count, the only reason anybody watches them is to see them get beat by THEIR team. And even that isn't very satisfying) Don't watch football but I'm a lifetime San Diegan. The hatred for them is palpable.

Keep telling yourself that.

Low attendance isnt hurting the Right whatsover and neither is the Lefts attempts to tie the boycott to racism

Its not the Right wing agenda thats being rejected here, thats led to this boycott and people on the Left should try to remember that.

The means and the message are part of the speech. To boycott the means and the message means by default you are against that speech (free)
Both of you guys are falling short.

"Speech", in the context of the 1st Ammendment, does not exclusively mean "spoken word"! Or "written word". Or even any "word" at all! :doh

The 1stA protects all legal forms of "expression". Not just words. It covers everything from pornography, to kneeling in public, to trampling a flag as art.

Words have nothing to do with it.

Don't let anyone try to couch your or their 1st Ammendment argument, into the technical exclusivity of "speech". They're throwing you a red herring, whether deliberately or through their ignorance.

Many of the NFL owners are Conservatives and Republican Many owners donated to Trump's campaign, some even held fund raisers for Romney in 2012 and Trump is 2016. As a thank you for his support Trump appointed The owner of the Jets, Woody Johnston as Ambassador of the UK.

Goodell was hired, and can be fired ONLY by those owners. He works for the owners, and only the owners.

But the NFL and Goodell are leftist? lol...lol...lol

Conservatives will believe anything, then make fools of themselves, and STILL refuse to do any homework to find out the truth. Are they gullible, or just lazy?

And trump was a failure in the USFL, another axe he has to grind ...

The right is boycotting the NFL over speech they disagree with. The right is the group that wants Goodell to force the players to stop express their speech (kneeling).

The right has an issue with speech they disagree with

The incorrect right is hurting the liddle guys with their phony boycott; the vendors, parking folks, security, cleaners and etc. ...

In Making America Hate Again, trump is now Trying to go after and make miserable America's favorite leisure activities, sports ...

Left and right both call for boycotts over speech they oppose.
