All the shows I missed before the dvr . Preempted by sports.

Fans didnt respond the way you people wanted them to, they didnt kneel in unison to protest Trump, so now they're all racist white supremist Conservatives.

And your not caring whether or not the NFL goes the way of the dodo is the typical " Ill take my ball and go home " childish reaction to rejection and the half empty stadiums falling ratings are a weekly reminder of just how toxic and destructive the Left wing agenda can be to a institution as large as the NFL.

Police departments rarely if ever discipline bad actors.

The fact that few are prosecuted is not proof nothing happens.

It IS proof that the system has been corrupted.

The simple law of averages states that cops MUST **** up in an actionable fashion fairly regularly.

The fact this isn't represented in disciplinary action means the problem is on that end.

All cops aren't perfect angels being smeared by criminal idiots.

The NFL rules state that the players should stand during the anthem. The rules do not say players have the right to do whatever they want during the anthem, including kneeling. The rules get very specific, including holding their helmets in their left hand. Anyway, my thinking on this has changed. I now wholeheartedly support the player's rights to kneel during the anthem if that's what they choose and I will be on the front lines encouraging owners to not play, to cut, and to not to sign anyone (such as Kaepernick) who disrespects our country and our anthem. And I, as a previous NFL fan, will no longer help pay for their salaries as I have gone to my last game (the Indianapolis Pence game) and watched my last game on television. That's true freedom of speech. Players have the right to kneel. Owners have the right to fire them. I have the right to boycott them. That's what America is all about.

In the rulebook, as it is with other sports. The players are expected to follow the rules. Before 2009 no one was disrespecting our country and our anthem.

Well, there is more time for DP. Seriously though, not a problem. I got pissed at major league baseball many years ago when the cry babies went on strike because million dollar contracts weren't high enough for them. I wrote baseball off. I can write football off too.

It doesn't really matter. The fans own the NFL and they own the players too because we pay their salaries. The fans are demanding players stand for the anthem and the players will stand. The owners are meeting today and Wednesday to discuss the situation. If they know what is best for them, they will change the rules to be worded that the players MUST stand or face penalties. Not sure if you can change the rules in the middle of a season but if the owners wait until next season it will be too late. The NFL is getting closer and closer to has been status and if they don't address the problem THIS year, IMMEDIATELY, then the NFL will be in full blown has been status. I see today that the entire Jacksonville Jaquars football team apologized for kneeling during the anthem when they played a game in London recently.

You're just playing games with me now. You know the rules and you already know the rules say "should". Why can't you debate honestly instead of playing games? As I have said many times, none of this matters. The only thing that matters is what the NFL fans believe and they believe players "must" stand. If they don't, the entire NFL will suffer. I know this means nothing to you because most lefties could give a damn about sports and the NFL. You are only using this whole issue for political purposes and you could care less if the NFL goes down the tubes. The reality though is that by these guys refusing to stand, they are cutting their own throats. So be it. They make their beds, they lay in them. If this issue is more important to them than making millions playing football then I'll shake their hands and pat them on the back.

Sure they do

That is why the government paid the NFL to have the players on the field during the anthem. To drum up patriotism, it is why at various sporting events the air force often does fly by's. That is as much politics as kneeling during the anthem.
