He even thought that it was being played for him. The same guy whose wife had to remind him to cross his heart for the anthem.
 
It refers to the work day. Everyone stops, even if on the road, when the flag is raised and lowered.

In general, that's correct.....when the first bars sound, stop where you are if outside. Inside, continue as you were.
 
I wouldn't expect a civilian to know what that is. I also doubt he took military school vary seriously.
 
This is the second thread were Trump hating posters make fools of themselves regarding a topic they obviously know nothing about.

They are indoors. You do not stand at attention or stop what you are doing when you are indoors during the sounding of retreat.

So yes...he didnt know what was going on. But then...neither do you apparently.

And that's the big difference. He might have bungled protocol, but the players knew exactly what they were doing -- and they did it after the President told them they should not be doing it.

It applies to any Dick & Jane on the base if they are outdoors.

CiC included.

Technically speaking.......Trump and Hannity did nothing wrong.

But personally, I think I would have stopped the interview for 25 seconds and faced the flag for appearances sake.

The OP thinks that he got a "Gig for Bean" here, but ended up with a lesson on "retreat" and "colors"
 
It's always different when Trump or the right is do **** like this.

I'm sure those on the right will be clamoring to " lock them up" over the Trump staff using private email servers. Oh wait.
